So fuckin' cool to see Axl taking up on stage and wearing a Swedish flag he he. Good times. peace
Worst G&R-moment ever! Axl should have wiped his ass with it  peace

I could be wrong about this but I'm pretty sure that Axl doesn't bring the country flags with him.  I think they come from someone in the audience tossing it onstage and he just puts it on like sorta out of respect to the hosting country.

So the real question is why would someone from Sweden bring their flag to a Norway show?  Huh

Just got home after 2 days in Oslo. 2 awesome days I might add!
Tuesday night we were hanging at Elm Street, and Del James popped in for a while. What a great guy he really is:)
On concert-day, on our way to the pre-party, me and my wife ran into DJ Ashba and Frank Ferrer. I had pics of each band member with me, and they signed them..it was surreal and awesome!!
Met a lot of you guys at Elm Street, Jarmo as well:) It was great meeting ya'll..hope to see u all next time!!!
The gig itself was just amazing. Axl was spot on, and I also have to say that I am very pleased with DJ Ashba.
He really brings back the bluesy style..awesome guy:)

Decided to skip any pre show beers and go stand in line instead and what a good choice that turned out to be. Got pretty much the same spot as in Bergen, right at the front. The sound sucked up there, but that doesn't matter. More importantly, about 30 minutes after I sat down in front of Spektrum and there's only about 10-15 people there one of many black vans drive past (my entrance was right next to the backstage entrance). Inside you can clearly see Ron, but unlike most of the other cars this one parks outside the gate and Ron comes up to shake hands and take pictures with everyone. A great start to any concert  Smiley

During the last half of Danko another appearance by Ron side stage. Playing along on an acoustic guitar as he's warming up. Once the stage has been set he shows up yet again and spends the rest of the wait sitting at the back of the stage, still with the guitar in hand, chatting to some of the crew and getting some huge cheers from the crowd.

Great to see how lively Tommy was this time. Running all over the stage and really connecting with the crowd. It was well funny when he came on stage wearing a hard hat. Spektrum enforces a VERY strict hard hat policy during rigging and you can find tons of them in big crates back stage.

Also had a great view of the pyro technician's control center. Don't know if it's always this way, but Del were triggering the "cannons" during LALD.

Just remembered, at the end of his solo DJ played a bit of "Dovregubbens Hall" by norwegian composer Edvard Grieg.

Cool so I wasn't the only one who noticed:

seems this tour is going quite well, imo even better than the 2002 / 2006 shows.

just looked to the Oslo recording of knocking on heavens door in youtube...and pfff  Undecided ,  I don't like the way it is performed nowadays (since 2002?)
... I don't understand why they changed the style of the song...the original cover as in the illusions era was a very cool song and worked better for me, also live...
I miss the 'hey .... hey ...hey hey hey...' Grin and the guitar playing is also bit difference. Just my feeling though.

All the rest is pretty ok! Glad they fucking rock again like they should!

There you go, the infamous swedish flag @ Oslo.  Wink

At this point it looks more like he?s trying to rip the flag off him.  hihi

I was just reading DJ's latest update on Facebook about arriving to Finland. There someone (from Sweden) said how Axl loved the Swedish flag they threw to the stage.  Those people are bringing one to Helsinki as well. I hope Axl won't take it..

I thought the crowd was pretty good, at least on the floor. Cheering and clapping during the solos, going crazy for the oldies.

Good times  beer
