Ok, but just so I understand correctly. We will be able to download the master tracks of all songs to remix them ourselves?
That's why I wondered, because how would we get a hold of these tracks unless GN'R isn't involved in any way?

The whole thing is just a thesis. I think the guy is just trying to evaluate how the project (if real) would be recieved.

This is not GN'R, their management and/or the record company asking you what you would do, this is a fan doing a project to get his/her degree.

This also is not any kind of indication/promise/guarantee that GN'R will do any of the mentioned things in the survey.


I guess I need to stress the above extra before somebody writes a news story based on this fan made survey.

It was clear to me that this was a school project. What wasn't clear (I see it now though) was if the project was based solely on the survey, or if the voting of the remixes also was part of the project. That's were I became a little confused.

Maybe the whole remix/master tracks thing clouded my mind for a minute..

yeah correct...it's just a thesis, I'm the guy who's doing this survey. Thanks Jarmo and all of you for answering this survey! Sorry Jarmo for any inconvinence, I see some people didn't understand., that its just for my college and I need to prove that 60% of GNR fans would particIpate on the hypothetical project, and I chosed the only way to do it, message boards of GNR and here today is the biggest one.

I hate to say this but I don't think your research is working.  Your not getting no answers.  You look at the number of hits and the number of replies and there is a lot of missing responses, probably all your no answers.  Your information gathering was flawed when you didn't make it anonymous so your professor is going to mark you down on that to begin with.

I don't know exactly what you are doing, could be it's really some psych research and you have your research set up just right but from what you said at face value, you need to quickly redo this and make it all a poll questions.  You'll get more answers and get the anonymous factor in there.
