here's my latest add to my GNR collection, today i present to you something really special for me. One of them is my favorite GNR album of all time. Use Your Illusion 1! This is the way the Use your Illusion cds were released back then, in 1991! They didn't come in those plastic glassed cd boxes, they came on this huge cardboards, which kinda makes it look like something special! This is very rare and im even undecided if i should open or not.
If someone happens to have them please let me know whats inside besides the cds. Anyways only a band like this would inspire me to buy the Use your Illusion albums for the 3th time now!   hihi and guess what? There's gonna be a 4th time because im gonna have to have this babies in SHM-CD format, so stay tuned! More updates coming! See you around!   Grin  ok

those are "Just" the longbox versions of those releases

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Longbox

not being down on them being special, they are rather rare to get, specially sealed ones i think.

Nice catch indeed

Well they were sealed, but i was just so keen to open it that i took it out. I didn't know you had to ruin the box to get the cds out though, and thats why i didn't try to open the box itself.Bought them for 60 bucks

YOU MUST OPEN!!!

nah, kiddin, but, i am a collector, and if i buy stuff i open it to play it, Did so with my Live Era Lp's, Appetite, Lies, the road to illusion box and so fort with stuff i bought sealed.

Collectors value is great, but having them and listening to it is greater, hahahahaha

And live era, yeah, i had that on cd, but well, i listen more lp's then cd's (gnr cd's i have indeed but i got more way more on vinyl then on cd otherwise) so, really needed it to be open!!

i really want to open it, but if i open it, it will ruin the box. Its not a cardboard sleeve, you have to really unwrap the card to be able to take out the cd. And the boxes were the whole purpose of buying it.
Im kinda disappointed cause i thought the box would actually slide in and you could take the cd out that easily, but oh well... i have the use your illusion x 3 times  now l rofl so i don't really need to open it

I wont open it, otherwise i would ruin the box, there's not a really easy way to open it without ruining it, so its not worth it since i have the illusion cds about 3 of each. I was just curious if the box had anything else, but aparently it doesnt.
