I thought it was kind of funny. Howard asked her if she has trouble remembering all the lyrics to her songs when doing a show. She said she has a hard time so she uses a teleprompter. Then she said as a twist of irony or something, she got hers from Axl Rose (stated as fact).

That?s what teleprompters are for lol. I don?t get Courtney?s point since almost everyone ( singers/bands) uses them  Tongue

Yeah I heard that too.  She stated it as, the "embarrassing part was we bummed it from Axl Rose."  Then she laughed like a lunatic.

I think the "embarrassing" part isn't that Axl uses one.

It's the history they have (the whole Nirvana/GnR dustup).  So it was embarrassing to her to have to bum ANYTHING from Axl.

There was another Axl mention on the Stern show Wednesday, not by Courtney Love, but by Howard himself.  Fred played GNR's version of "Sympathy For The Devil" coming out of a break and Howard came on air about halfway through the song.  He asked Fred, "Who's that, Axl Rose?"  He then said he didn't like the song that much.  Fred then piped in "NO?"  As if HE really liked the song.  Howard then said he thought it was just okay, but he really liked Axl a lot.

I don't listen to their version of that song much and I know it's not the most celebrated song they've ever done.  In fact, it looks odd being on Greatest Hits.  But whenever I do listen to the song, I LOVE their version.  I can't help but crank it up.  After Howard interrupted the song (which he normally does, regardless of what is being played), I went and cued up the song again from the start so I could crank it all the way through.

Ugh I never say this about people but Courtney Love needs to just overdose and get it over with already.  Everyday she is talking shit about another artist who has been WAY more successful than her.  In the past week its been  Billy Corgan, Gavin Rossdale, Gwen Stefani, Fred Durst and now Axl Rose.  She is trying to stir up publicity to push that recycled 90's alt rock garbage she calls music.  She is a junkie, and a deadbeat mother who couldnt even take care of her kid so she had to be taken from her.  You would think with all those problems she would be too preoccupied to be talking shit   on the Howard Stern show.  She is no better than a homeless crack whore.  She just happened to marry a musical genius.  She has absolutely NO business talking about Axl Rose.  It always pissed me off back in the day with the shit she said about GNR, and it pisses me off even more today.  I could really go for a profanity laced tweet, post or stage rant from Axl Rose about Courtney Love.  She has talked so much shit over the years and Axl never says anything.  I guess it is Axl taking the high road which isnt a bad thing, but I wouldnt mind him taking the low road once in a while when it concerns her, she has it coming.

Well, if it makes you feel any better, she seems pretty miserable.  She's bankrupt, she HAS money, but doesn't have access to it.  She sure made some news with her Stern appearance, and her comments on Axl were by far the most tame.

I thought Howard was kind of a dick toward Axl the last 8-10 years, but i'm not to sure because I dont listen like i used to

She has absolutely NO business talking about Axl Rose

Now I dont disagree with you about her but; I dont think she hates on Axl (i didnt hear the interview), but I remember years ago (98-00ish?) on MTV news she stated how much she loves him, and always did his snake dance..

Not really.  I mean, he joined in on the party so to speak by taking shots at Axl here and there whenever the Chinese Democracy saga was brought up.  But for the most part, he likes Guns N' Roses and Axl.  He just finds him a little strange.  Howard bags on everyone, that's the basis of the show.

calm down

first of all have you listened to the new album of Hole?
it's good, and i mean really good, definitely not garbage

second if you go like this, nobody should talk about other persons in music business...
she has the right to talk about axl, like he has the right to talk about her
and she didn't even attack him verbally or anything like that

I agree with you about the album 'tis good, not a classic but not something I'd switch off.

As for speaking about Axl, from what I have read on Jarmo site, she didn't, she mentioned his name in answering a question. Just as I haven't discussed this site's owner in answering this post.

Some people don't get it do they? I mean interviewers want a story and the interviewee has  answered in a way that makes the process worth listening to, name dropping is par for the course.

Given the (alleged) history she might of made a big deal of the rights or wrongs of that history but she didn't.  Seems to me that she is getting herself together these days, life's too short to carry grudges, if she's moved on then that's great.

you obviously are not aware of the history of Courtney Love talking about Axl Rose.  Im not just talking about the VMA's in 1992 or the Howard Stern show which was nothing compared to other things she has said over the years.

Courtney Love is a pig.  Don't you find it a little bit sad that she has to mention the affair with Gavin Rossdale that happened over a DECADE ago, coincidentally during the week of her album's release?  Pathetic is the word you are looking for.  It should be no surprise as her entire career has been fueled by the train wreck that is her life, not the merits of her actual artistic talent(or lack thereof.)  She is a used up ex band wife whos moderate success can only be attributed to her late husband.

That is why I say Courtney has no right to talk about Axl Rose, she doesnt have the goods to back it up.  If Steven Tyler, James Hetfield, Trent Reznor  or anyone else with artistic merit  has something to say, Ill listen.  Courtney Love does not qualify as a voice worth listening to.

I heard the new Hole album, it is very generic 90's alt rock.  Maybe its her voice being so dated that gives it that impression.  Is it the worst album I have ever heard?  No, but its not really earth shattering.  I am also the last person to ask because I never liked Hole, even when they were sort of relevant for a few months back in 94.

Yea Courtney was all upset that some dude she liked dumped her and she thought he loved her or some shit. She was all broken up over high school sounding drama. She would definitely suck Axl's cock if he wanted her too, though I am sure he would rather stick his dick into a meat grinder.

For the record she wasn't talking shit.
