Thank god for HTGTH, without threads like this I could never have expected to know just how evil Slash truly is, and to which hellacious depths he will not stoop.

Let me get this right. Slash is at his mother's bedside watching her die from lung cancer and he's going out every five minutes to smoke?! Don't get me wrong, I'm more than happy that he quit. However, isn't that a little rude to his mother? You know it had to be heartbreaking laying there dying from lung cancer and watching your son step out continually to smoke.
I dont think he did it in front of her.
Probobly did it when he was stuck somewhere else.

From the NY Times today:

But age, marriage, two sons (ages 5 and 7) and time in rehab have left him feeling more mature and sober, he said. He even stopped smoking a few weeks back, a decision he was regretting in the moments before clambering onstage. Not helping was his wife, Perla Hudson, who was tearing through a pack of cigarettes and blowing the exhaust in his direction.

You know, quitting smoking is much harder than people think. I've tried about five times but every time there's a really stressful situation in my life I tend to start lighting 'em up again and it takes weeks or even months to stop again. Guess I'm an addict too...
