I still think it is most likely a boot!!!!  I have been told by a very reliable source that there was no official CD's whatsoever (promo or otherwise) done of LLAS.

That said, I would still like to get one of the 3" CD's of LLAS.  Even though it's a boot it's still a really cool item to have.  Just like the UYI and TSI wooden box sets which I think are generally suspected to be boots (the Top Hat Box Sets probably are too), but all are still cool to own.

I found this website the other day which was interesting.  There is a Nirvana wooden boxset that looks just like the UYI one.  (click on the small pic for bigger pics).   It seems they have had the same debate about whether it's offical or not (they even reference the GNR UYI one in the discussion).
