Anybody else from Trondheim attending the Oslo show? My husband is not so keen to go, so I thought an alternative might be to go with other fans.

Does your husband know where are you gonna go?
Just joking, no offence.

Anyone worried about the airline disruptions due to the volcano? Alot of Europe is grounded right now. I think we need to set up huge fans to blow the dust up to the North Pole so that GNR can get on with their tour

I'm not worried about the band making it - they've got lots of time. Am definitely worried for fans traveling from overseas though - anyone making plans to travel to see these shows might need to take that into consideration.

Without wanting to jinx anything, I'm hoping this is a sign that the band really is going to do a *massive* European tour this summer and play the fuck out of every country. The rumoured Russia show would make sense after Norway (St. Petersburg... they should pull out Sympathy for the Devil for that show!). Heck do St. Petersberg and Moscow if they can...then go back across the continent.
Love the idea of GNR doing this in Europe Kyrie.....Bored now so thought would have fun with this.
possible 3 months (potential approx 40 dates but not in order)
UK- Reading, Leeds festivals (confirmed) arenas in London x 2, Birmingham, Manchester, Newcastle or Belfast,Glasgow,
Ireland - Dublin
France -Paris, Lyon?
Germany - 4 dates (you can help me here)
Russia -St Petersburg, Moscow
Spain - Barcelona, Madrid
Portugal - Lisbon
Italy - Rome, Milan
Poland - Warsaw
Hungary - Budapest
C.Repuplic - Prague
Romania - Bucharest
Holland - Amsterdam
Switzerland - Zurich
Austria - Vienna
Norway x2 (confirmed)
Finland x1 (confirmed)
Sweden x1 (confirmed)
Denmark x 1 (confirmed
Belguim
Greece - Athens
Turkey - Istanbul
Croatia
Serbia
Israel???
Add/delete countries/cities or add festival dates, maybe we have some acoustic/surprise shows to somewhere
Well Germany they could do Berlin, Munich, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Dresden, and maybe Stuttgart (they've got an arena that can hold about 15,000 people there).
Israel would be tricky (and technically isn't Europe), but if you're going that way then maybe - maybe also throw in Morocco after Spain/Portugal.
In Europe - maybe Bratislava, Slovakia if you're doing the Czech Republic as well. Kiev in Ukraine. Krakow in Poland as well as Warsaw? Do a date in Latvia (Metallica just played there) etc.
Guess we'll find out in the coming weeks!

Does anyone know how far from the stage the seats are in Oslo Spektrum? Or does anyone have any tips at all regarding what seats to go for? I won't have much time tomorrow trying to buy a ticket to the Oslo concert and I'd like to have some sort of idea beforehand what I should be aiming for. I can't find proper info on the net.

after last time i was there i'd recommend the floor actually....
regarding seats....I would definately aim for center seats....
but the floor is recommended....this time round i'll definately try to make my way up front....
in other news, regarding a possible M&G, should hopefully get answer tomorrow about the posibillity of renting a room at Spektrum to hang out in before the gig

Here's the layout for the Guns concert:
I'm not sure how big the stage will be in scale to the arena. If they are using the same setup as in Canada, sections 201, 202, 217 and 218 might bring you quite close to one of the runways, platforms, tentacles or whatever they're called.
On the other hand, those seats might not give you the full impression of the production.

well, we got answer from Spektrum now about a possible M&G....
once the lady in charge got it explained properly she was alot more positive.
BUT, however...due to it being Guns N Roses and they run a pretty tight ship we might not be able to get in there...
she would check prices, specifications and possibly band requests(if they will allow outsiders prior to the gig) if it is at all possible....
just keep our fingers crossed now and hopefulyl she calls back before the end of business today.
BUT, there is another but indeed
the spectrum lady was specific that 1 of the regulations were to keep in the area(if we get it rented) and not go band hunting(sure that makes sense to most, just had to mention it anyways)
and there will be limited amounts of people, i can't nor will i vouch for 50+ people......most likely it will be open for 20-30 peeps...wich is ok by me, probably serving of pizza and soda(or beer)....
if all goes well, i'll post a how to thingy laters
