Wow... I'd hoped he'd be mainly doing stuff from the album and a few tracks from each of his other bands. Looks like he's relying almost entirely on his back-catalogue here. Sucks.
If I was actually there, I'd probably enjoy myself. But not so much as if he played more from the album he's supposed to be promoting!

Im sure when he starts the tour hell probably play more of the new stuff.  But lets be honest, anytime you see a band you really like when do you ever really want to hear more than 3 or 4 new songs? There are bands Ive seen who put out great new albums, but id still rather hear my favorite songs.  At most shows when the artist starts off the sentence with "this is a new song" thats when beer/bathroom runs happen.  Nobody there just became a fan of Slash because of this solo album, we know why they are there.  I wont bitch if he wants to play "Nightrain" or
"Paradise City" instead of "Ghost", I dont think anyone in attendance would complain about that.  Slash being in the building is "promoting" the solo album.  He is not going to sell records based off of performances of the new stuff.  If someone has spent the 40-60 bucks to see Slash in concert im pretty sure they spend the 10 bucks on the cd already, or at the very least downloaded it for free.

The only times in recent memory that I enjoyed a band playing a lot of new songs was Metallica on the "Death Magnetic".  As good as every song is on that album, I would still rather hear "Battery" or "Creeping Death" if given the choice.

Check that, Green Day played a lot of new tracks on their "Breakdown" tour, and that was really good.  So there are exceptions.

Myles is wearing a hat similar to Axl's when they open up with Dirty Little Thing... hihi

I'm still not quite sold on his vocals on the GN'R songs, but he sings the Velvet Revolver stuff better than Scott did live.

Eddie Trunk loved the show.

therealedtrunk - Paradise City, Slither, unbelievable. If someone
asks me the best show I've seen recently an easy answer: Slash and his new band!
about 17 hours ago via txt

therealedtrunk - Slash killing Civil War now. This is the best show I
have seen in a long time. Unreal!
about 18 hours ago via txt

therealedtrunk - Watching Slash play live at The Roxy. Sounds
amazing! Doing Mean Bone by Snakepit now! Myles Kennedy sounds great!
about 18 hours ago via txt

therealedtrunk - Hanging at Key Club for Steven Adler. Then
seeing Slash at Roxy. Caught a band called Age Of Evil earlier, very promising.

If you're waiting...don't. Live your life. That's your responsibility not mine. If it were not to happen you won't have missed a thing. If in fact it does you might get something that works for you.

I actually loved the Civil War video because of him. His tone reminded me much more the studio recordings than his usual live sound. Really great playing also.

If this thing ever surfaces, this would be the best opportunity. I dunno about Adler (I just don't think they would fire Matt), but this is the perfect moment to bring back those tracks with Izzy.
