I do love how this has evolved.

I remember when the guys use to never comment on GNR stuff and now its awesome seeing that they are out giving the updates and breaking the news etc.

I compared the promoter to that "Pig Vomit" character on the Howard Stern movie... seems he was trying to be the one to "tame" Axl.

Residents "not bothered" by festival's late running

I contacted Reading Council last week, and they said if any band played beyond the curfew then the promoter would be fined appropriately, and that would be it, unless there was a strong backlash from local residents.

Although there are emergency service and insurance issues to consider, I do not understand why the power was cut yesterday. The decision could have potentially caused mayhem and injury to the audience at the festival.

I do believe that Melvin Benn is not fit to run this festival now, given his comments about lateness in the press last week and his actions yesterday. Why book GN'R then act this way?

This is why Guns n' Fuckin' Roses are labelled the most dangerous band in the world, this Reading Gig publicity will see the remaining tickets across Europe snapped up in my view. Axl didn't bail out, he stood at the front wanting to give a show in a way that Gn'R could only do.

Wow, so guns came on later than originally planned. They still played the fucking set, people have paid money to be there, who wants to rush off. The band tried there best to keep songs going from what it looks like, at a festival without power...thats not an easy task.

(i) I'd be pissed that I didn't get a full set coz the band went on late
(ii) Maybe people would be more into rock n' roll if the whole thing wasn't laden with idiots who liberally spout the word 'fag' at everyone under the sun

Either way, bring on Leeds and here's hoping the band rips up the place!

Just my 2 cents. but I don,t think casual fans or non -fans would bother to stick around, if it bothered them so much. Unless of course their only reason to is to try to think they were right and most times they aren't. Press can write all the neg shit they want. Have been doin so since I became a fan in 87. Doesn't really matter. They are gonna go on Axl and Guns will so long as he wants to. And at the end of the day. It doesn't really matter. And I give Him and everyone ever involved in that band props, I think all played their part. These guys now are showing you they are a fucking band.
