I wonder how long GNR were contracted to play?? If they didn't play long enough there could be major problems for axl n company

Fuck those indie pricks at Reading. Lets move on to some real rock audiences! Scandal = Rock = Publicity
GNR has some attitude. That's why I love this band

So let me get this straight they went on played past curfew, power was cut, guitars were smashed, songs or talking was done through a megaphone, and PC was done acoustically? If its all true, this has to be the most interesting GnR show I've heard of
cant agreee more with you
haha, it's like old times!

now there is less of a crowd i'm able to get more detailed info from my friend
power was cut during nightrain, band play without sound for the rest of the song
axl heads into the crowd high fiving people.
then the megaphone comes out and the intro to better and a small part of paradise city are played.
not complete songs as it first seemed to read when i got text.

Another thing I thought about, this is going to get a shit ton of press. Just hope other promoters don't get the same idea about pulling the plug on GNR to either generate press or send a statement.
Could also backfire with other promoters being pissed and might not let GNR play.
But really, if I was a promoter and something like this happened -- I think it can only drive up interest of a festival...
Well the big thing with that is I believe festivals are more strict with curfews than just a one off show at an arena or something. Plus if other promoters already agreed to bring GnR to their venue, they should know the kind of band GnR is

God knows what's going on, but it sounds as if they went down badly. What the fuck is wrong with people? I'm tired of people giving me shit evertime I say Guns N Roses are my favourite band as it is.
well if the crowd were chanting let them play they must have won them over quite a bit, at least they`ll remember what an untamed rockband is

Who knows if they'll even make it to Leeds? I don't want to be in a crowd of people booing my favourite band on sunday though. I hope some og you lot come and say hi! I'll be wearing the box-set Chinese democracy GNR shirt, and am pretty tall. Come and say hi to me and hopefully we can have a good time despite the morons!

Not to be an asshole but the rules were clear from the beggining. There's a curfew and that's the sense of a curfew like or not.
Dont worry your not being an asshole, just reasonable

It's in the middle of a town, the curfew is their out of respect for the local people who are there all year round.
I doubt some of the older folk in the area want to hear blaring music past midnight.
I honestly find it amazing that people bitch about curfews for outdoor shows in populated area. considering the band were there a good 2 hours before they were due to start there is no reason for being an hour late on stage.
it's taking the piss showing no respect to anyone and the organiser did the right thing, to protect his job.
