Hopefully we will get some pro shot footage from reading. All the highlights are on tv so we should get maybe 5 or so songs. They only show the reading highlights and thats why they never showed leeds 2002.

Love the song start wearing purple. They might not be everyone's cup of tea, but I think they will get the crowd going for certain!

Oh, thats awesome. This isnt live, though, right?

It would be really cool if this proshot footage comes out in HD.

its pre-recorded on channel4 (UK), i dont think it will be HD but you never know. the highlights from donington is only a short show and they only showed a couple of GnR songs, but the reading highlights are aired over 3 days if i remember right so there will be lots of footage hopefully  smoking

They wont show the whole gig, I went last year to Reading and when I came back I watched the Highlights on demand and you could have up to a choice of 6 songs pro shot! Can't wait I still believe Reading is the bigggest festival in the UK and without a doubt the most popular and it will be awesome to see Axl and co shine!

BBC3 show the whole of Reading across the 3 days, live.
But....that doesn't mean they will show Gn'R as the band wiould have to give permission. Last year i think Rage Against The Machine played but they wouldn't let BBC broadcast their set.
Hopefully Gn'R will  yes

You can get to those gigs for free if you apply to work at the gigs doing wristbanding, I did it last year at Electric Picnic, you work a couple of hours in the morning putting wristbands on people coming in. Then you get to enjoy the rest of the festival for free. Email wristband@festivalrepublic.com to enquire about working at whichever gig Reading or Leeds and they'll put you down on the list. Festival Republic do a few of those festivals www.festivalrepublic.com

Hope the band agrees. This is band is too awesome to not have a proshot/soundboard recording. Smiley

They agreed for donny 06 to be aired so it shouldnt be a problem. Would they recieve extra royalties or would it all be agreed in the initial festival contract?

I don't mind what happens as long as someone has their head screwed on long enough to realise we just need one new song....like There Was A Time....pro shot from Reading. Would be nice to have a classic or two but I don't want 5 classics and no new material, would be insulting to the new band....TWAT would be a great song that encapsulates everything they've become
