I think that to use a color as an adjetive is not good ... There were a lot of stupid people in the show (10% of all, but they managed to call atention), that was the problem ... and it?s true that argentine crowd can be the best in the word, but can be the worst too ... there is  lot of people here that is so intolerable ...

The show was great ! I love the band and Axl .. During the first 50 minutes Axl?s Mic wasn?t ok .. I saw the whole show 10 or 5 meters from Axl, that was amazing. I could see everything he did when I was in front of him, it was a dream ! But, I repeat, it was low Axl?s mic ... or I don?t know what really happened because a lot of people who were a lot of meters back could hear the show better. Some of them said it was great the whole performance in that aspect. When the band played Street of Dreams was the moment that Axl?s mic was corrected.

It could be the perfect show, but because of the first part, didn?t happened.

I went home happy. I saw for the first time in my life the band that I love from 1991. Thank you Axl and all members of the band that were fantastic, all of them and sounds as a great machine of rock and roll !!! Hope Guns N? Roses come back to Argentina again any time !!

You are picking 1 video where some people can't hear. I've seen tons of videos from the show that the sound is perfect. I'm not saying there wasn't ANY sound problem near the stage cause obviously there was a problem there but you can't blame the sound guy cause some NOT ALL people couldn't hear. Obviously if there was anything the sound guy could have done to fix the problem he would have done it.

There were problems in the front, not in the other areas of the stadium. Yeah. That's why some people could hear him and others not.

What was weird is that nobody stopped the show to say: ?there are technical problems, we're going to try to fix it?. I think nobody was aware of that. Poor Axl, BBF, Ashba, Tommy, Frank, Pitman, Dizzy and Richard because they were playing without knowing what was happening.

i wasn't in the front... i was in the back and couldn't hear shit... all the people in the back also started to chant "no se escucha" ("we can't hear")... there were sound problems all over the stadium....

Definitively there were sound problems at the show, I was not there but you can notice clearly in the videos and also in the audio posted in the download section, in Sorry for example you can barely hear Axl Voice, Bumblefoot in is twiteer mentioned that it seemed to be a problem with the PA system.

It's really frustrating to be waiting this show for 17 years and things like this happens, I don't blame anybody for this but I understand the anger in the people who went to see this amazing band and couldn't hear Axl voice for most of the show,

Understand why people were throwing stuff at the stage, to alert us there was a problem. Someone threw a shoe. I think you are a bit naive to think that the band could have stopped the show, even to fix up an obvious problem, and not cause a riot of some sort. From what I hear the crowd, or at least parts of it, were acting out of control and I don't think you can control that sort of crowd with any amount of sensible talk.

i think you're wrong. People would have wait all the time needed to be able to hear Axl's voice. When Axl's voice was perceptible, the crowd was A FRENZY, 100% happy and excited. Never see anything similar in uruguay or brasil.

But apparently, it was one of those problems you just can fix in some minutes.

The show itself was outstanding even with the techical problems. The complete responsability of the bitterweet taste some of us still have is on a part of the crowd.

Bumblefoot is simply a beast. If Axl described Slash as ''half man, half beast'' back in the eighties, well, Bumblefoot is 100% beast. The things he does with that fretless guitar are unbelievable.

And i (as well as some other argentine fans I was at the show) can say that I heard Axl's voice WITHOUT THE MIC during If The World. THAT'S something really impressive.

I was not there, of course, yet I think I have a point. There were really really many people there, all of them did not experience problems and may not have been aware that some did. If the concert would have suddenly stopped, do you think all in the audience would have had the patience to find out why before protesting? As far as I understand it would not have been enough for Axl just to announce they will continue as soon as the sound problems are fixed, but a translator would have needed to step in too and try to get the message through. Once such a big crowd starts protesting, it may be hard just to talk sense and make them stop, especially since there obviously were people there who were not there just for the music. Why take the risk?

« Reply #253 on: March 25, 2010, 07:05:26 AM »

At best in this situation, if the band were aware of the sound issues, they would have acknowledged the problem and ask the crowd to be patient while they work on the problem as the show continued.

Clearly from Ron's post they weren't aware of the issues and that the translator didn't mention this fact either, despite the crowd shouting this. The band sing and speak English so shouting ?No escuchamos? is Greek to me.... or other English only speaking people, I'd say in reply "No Eskimo's? WTF"

Sometimes life dishes out a curve-ball that just can't be helped, take consolation from the fact you got to see your idols and got to hear some songs as they were meant to be heard, right now I'd love that memory...

But in one of the shows of this tour (I don't remember which one) Axl stopped the show because there were some problems with something. In Argentina, nobody said anything, that's why people started to throw things. People wanted to stop the show. We wanted them to fix the problem. Perhaps, it was impossible to fix it so they decided to go on.

Technical problems are going to pop up now and then. That's a fact that can't be avoided by the best soundman.

I was 2 meters from the stage and I could hardly hear Axl. You said this beacuse you weren't there.

[/quote]

No, I said it because I've gone to and played shows where there were problems with the sound. Occasionally, you run into something that you couldn't have planned. I agree that it sucks for the crowd - just saying, it can't necessarily be controlled. They probably should have stopped the show, but it isn't easy for the tech crew to communicate with the band, and I'm sure Axl doesn't like to be interrupted when he's in the zone. It's bad luck, but at least they didn't cancel the show.

You know, it wasnt the best decision to throw stuff at the band (actually that was just plain wrong as they dont control the PA and it could hurt them) or to yell in spanish at the band.

If it was that bad, try to tell something at the soundboard guy at the center of the venue, in the middle of the crowd. The guys up there were the ones who could at least try to help.
