Won't celebrate until I have the product in my hand.

with you on that one.  Lets not forget that there is allegedly hundreds of hours of footage from the "Use Your Illusion" tour that was filmed for a documentary style GNR movie back from 1991-1993 that still has never seen the light of day.  But this is good news regardless,  I would be a first day buyer if this "Chinese Democracy" documentary comes out.

According to a press release from Adrenaline PR (Rage's publicists), Axl wants to make some videos later in the year in support of GUNS N' ROSES' latest album, "Chinese Democracy", on the same grand scope and style of classics such as "November Rain".

curious. I remember he said the old videos was a bit cheesy (can't find the exact quote)
and I agree, except for some, like Garden Of Eden for example.

good news for the documentary thing, anyway !

This "Rage" guy was brought up before.  Didn't he say something about working on the "Better" video or something?

Yeah, I think it was said that he was directing the Better video back in 2008.

It was shot right before the tour started: http://www.videostatic.com/vs/2009/12/shot-guns-n-roses-rage-director.html

I also remember Rage had an ad up for a job as a photographer just before the Canadian leg of the tour. It was described as a chance to work with one of the greatest rock bands on the planet.
Yeah that was it.  So I wonder if there is a video of "Better" that is actually done but for some reason hasn't been released?  And if so, if that version will ever be released or if they'll go in a different direction?

Could have something to do with Robin's departure from the band. Maybe Jarmo or Fernando can enlighten us?

A video like Estranged & Co? I'd love it, but I'm 100% sure (even more) that the band would have to pay for such a video: videos don't have the same impact as 15-20 years ago, the state of the music industry is catastrophic, and to put out a video to promote an album out since November 2008 is a little strange (insane?) IMHO.

I'd love a new big GN'R music video, but I'll believe when I see it.

Perhaps, but music video's still have a purpose even in today's scene
youtube is a new way.
downloads is a way.(wich the music buss have to look into for not falling appart soon)
and some mtv's are still showing video's (unlikely) but yes they still do.

And I think that axl still wants to do chinese the right way is that he is holding on to something he believes in and that's his bussiness, it's amazing after all they've been through.
I think it's awesome they are still fighting for that album!

I wonder if this means Better will get another shot as a single.

Was Better really ever officially released as a single?

Hopefully it will be released for real this time. In my eyes it was not actually released as a single. Never heard it on the radio, never saw a video for it....    Wink

curious. I remember he said the old videos was a bit cheesy (can't find the exact quote)
and I agree, except for some, like Garden Of Eden for example.

That was on Eddie Trunk. Eddie said he loved the videos for the UYI-albums. Then Axl said something like: "Well...looking back on them I think they're a bit cheesy. But I liked the filming of them, that whole aspect..."

Regardless, a documentary or video would be great at this point! Cool to know that stuff is happening!   ok
