old band shirts vs new band shirts
«

What do you guys think of the new band shirts bands are coming out with? The ones that have the print all over the shirt, like this:
MOTORHEAD
or
JUDAS PRIEST
do you think they?re too flashy? Do you prefer the older, simpler designs? Personally I think they?re really cool and they look nice, but I?ve also heard other people say they?re too busy. What do you guys think? Would you wear it?

Well tbh, i was always under the impression it was old t-shirts that had big logos covering most of the t-shirt, and new t-shirts that had the shitty, small box at the front and nothing else style.

Disgusting.
I hate shirts like that. In a few years, people who wear garbage like that will look through their photo albums and die of embarrassment.

that can be said about anything that people wear after they look back after 10 years. I like the new design of the shirts, but the Motorhead shirt was a little much, the Judas Priest one wasnt that bad.

I actually like busier designs better. A plain black t-shirt with a band logo is kind of boring - you can do a lot more with the space around the logo. If I'm going to spend some ridiculous amount on a band shirt, it might as well have more than just a logo on it.

To the man in the yellow tent -- congratulations, sir! Lookin good!
As far as the shirts go -- I don't mind the look of those shirts, but whenever i buy a shirt at a show, i like it to have the tour dates on the back.

I really don't see how having a low attention span would have to do with someone's art preference. God forbid someone should think the standard "band logo on black shirt" design is a little overdone, eh?

Because a standard shirt isn't enough anymore. People need embellishments and all sorts of cheesy wackiness in order to advertise themselves in order to fit in in our fashionista materialist society.
Today's fashions tell us how sorry we have become as a society.

^ i have no issue with people wanting to look good. I think fashion has always been fairly importent to people because its how they present themselves. The only people it didnt, and still doesnt matter too are the people that cant afford it , the reasons behind that are obvious. Give them a steady income n i can bet you theyd splash out on some new clothes too.
I think fashions a cool thing, an art form. Its when people get ridiculous with keeping up appearances it becomes pathetic. When you get those typical blonde LA styled airheads with so much make up on it may aswell be a new layer of skin. Thats when it gets lame n stupid.
But if you dont get hung up on it, i think fashions cool.
