Whats going to happen on the day of these, apparently bogus, gigs? Are the promoters going to continue the charade right up until the last minute and fans who have bought tickets are going to be queing up outside empty venues?

Even though Axl was quite explicit in his message, it would be a good idea if he reaffirmed this and once again let fans in these countries know that there wont be any gigs no matter what these promoters are claiming.

I can hardly beleve that Axl would change his mind from a outside source so he must have decided to change his mind on his own.

That is if he did.

Its like before the Asian shows thing kinda all over again except they have had some shows. But like with Asia I think the locals will be told about the shows before us.

The only thing that is fishy here is this promoter, who is known to be a prick. Axl has said the show's are not happening. Why would he say that, if there was shows happening?

This promotor just won't stop saying GNR are coming. Maybe he thinks he can somehow force GNR into agreeing to do the show
by:
1 Not letting it go, 2 tickets are selling well (maybe the band will change their mind). ...(he doesn't know who he is dealing with if that is his case

I'm very happy Axl said what he did because people would be just as pissed if they had a ticket. Then found out that there was no show and this promotor takes GNR to court over "Whatever" and no one gets their money back till it is resolved. In a Costa Rican court!!!!!!

I'm Canadian, I tried to see if I could somehow get to one of the shows in Canada but it didn't work out (I just couldn't get time off work). I live in Panama now for 1 year (I was living in Brazil and waited for GNR to come to Brazil for 8 years, it would have been a dream for me to see them in Rio, but they didn't go).

Now I'm here I'm trying to go to a show in either Venezuela or Colombia. I have a new 4 month old baby, any show any where is not easy to get to but obviously a Panama show would be the best and my wife might be able to go with me which is a dream of ours since we are together. So for this reason  I'm sort stalling on the Ven and Col shows. Of course the fact of taking a 4 month old on a trip like this is not an easy thing.

To me this info is important I really would like to see GNR on this tour, I have been following here throughout the Asian, Canadian Legs and now with happiness and a bit of sadness I'm following this Brazilian leg (only sad because I'm not there, very happy for the fans and the band).

 So you know, what the fuck? Sometimes thing just don't work out like they should.

Strange is not the word. The rumor here in Panama was that promoters were waiting to see how Metallica went over before starting the promo for the guns show. Yesterday I was driving and on station 105.7 here was a long comercial on the show of "the most dangerous band in the World" and the show, where to buy tickets etc. We didn't understand the date she understood the 7th  and I understood the 17th (they talk fuckin fast on the radio here, lol)

It was the first kind of ?fficial"promo I have seen or heard here in Panama...my wife was excited but I still say "no show".

people they are not happening untill they are confirmed so don't buy any tickets.. all these shows are promoted bye the same company I think!

I mean one thing is to believe a stupid producer , and another is having banks and stuff on it.

Every single thing is pointing out to this concert taking place.
I know AXL came out and said these concerts wouldnt take place, but since many factors came into light and Im a bit disappointed in management or ANYONE IN GNR not insisiting that these concerts wont take place.
A lot of my friends bought tickets, some of them dont even like gnr and a few of them even badmouthed Axl. And here I am the biggest fan waiting for someone to say something before buying the ticket.

If the biggest fans end up without a ticket, and a few motherfuckers go, then WTF, This is fucked up ! 
Im waiting two more days before a confirmation. After that, Ill buy the tickets, possibly throwing 100 dollars down the toilet. BUT FUCK IT ! that's how bad I want to go !

This is fucked up,  Axl says the shows are not happening and then in those countires the promotion goes into overdrive saying they are. Someone from GNR has to speak again and clear it up for the Central American fans who are, understandably, very confused.

is there any protection for the fans in Central America to be refunded for the tix if the shows do not happen? i've been wondering why everyone is so scared to buy tix - i'm assuming there is great risk of NOT being refunded. is that correct?

Yes the tickets will be refunded when there is no show, but the promoter keeps all that lovely interest he made by storing the cash in a high interest account. Then blame guns for not showing. Making money at Guns expense.
