On the Vikes-Pack game, if the Vikes are trending upwards and the Pack the other direction...how can the Pack still be favored?  Do you think a lot of money is being wagered on the "anti-Brett" side?  Lines are only gonna depend on how much money's on each side...I just find it hard to believe there's just as much money being wagered on the Packers' side...now I'm not a conspiracy theorist.  I don't believe games are fixed.  The size and scope of the deception would be impossible to cover up.  Vegas' success does make me scratch my head though.
Well, they're only favored by 3 points, which is the customary amount for being the home team.  So in essence, the oddsmakers see the matchup as pretty much even.  If the Vikings were at home, they'd be favored.  Same with the Chargers/Pats.

Whaddaya think of my Giants-Cowboys bet?

ugh.
I
HATE
CHILDRESS.

running out the clock in the 1st half just wasting timeouts...AND not challenging the 2nd Packer td at the back of the end zone.
ugh.

Great...now we head to New England at 2-4.  Unreal.  Sad

Well, they're only favored by 3 points, which is the customary amount for being the home team.  So in essence, the oddsmakers see the matchup as pretty much even.  If the Vikings were at home, they'd be favored.  Same with the Chargers/Pats.

Vikes-Pack makes little sense to me...Pats-Chargers makes NO sense to me.
The Chargers are a shadow of their former selves.  Floyd and Naanee are out.  It's Buster Davis, Patrick Crayton, and Gates with a bad foot.  and that Charger defense (in my opinion) blows.  Also, Norv Turner or Bill Belichik?  That's a no-brainer.

The Patriots are strong.  Again, I don't get it.
I like the Giants tomorrow night.  I'm just giving up on the Cowboys.  I've thought they'd come to their senses and win the past 3 games or so and it hasn't happened yet, so I'm throwing in the towel on them and just accepting that they're just not a good team.

Of course, now they'll probably win.  Tough divisional game, always play each other tough.  But the Giants are probably playing the best in the NFC right now.  That conference is so wide open though.  If the Cowboys win they still have a legitimate shot.  Same with the Vikings.  Tough loss tonight at Green Bay, followed by a tough game next week at New England but they're still alive.  Brett Favre made some typical bad Brett Favre plays tonight.  He's gimping around.  I hope he's alright to play next week so I can see it up close and personal.  He's still fun to watch.  On any given play he can look fantastic or downright pathetic.  You just never know.  Good bounceback win for the Packers.  I had a feeling they would pull it out.

As for the Pats.  I'm not sure how to feel about their win today.  A win is a win I guess.  And the Chargers ARE a very talented team, even with all the injuries, on both sides of the ball.  BUT, they could be one of the dumbest teams in the league as well.  They did their best to hand that game to the Patriots, and they in turn did their best to hand it back at the end.  Fortunately, the Chargers had one more dumb mistake up their sleeves by getting a false start on the field goal try.  But the Patriot offense looked horrendous outside of the one drive to start the second half, which by the way was kickstarted by a unnecessary roughness call on the Chargers.  Go figure.  Their defense played great for the first 3 quarters, but once they went up 23-6 they went back into prevent mode and lost their killer instinct.  The onsides kick and failed 4th and 1 made things quite interesting at the end.

I guess they should be happy to escape with a win.  Last weeks game against the Ravens took a lot out of both teams.  Could be a reason why both teams struggled today.  Let's hope they can get their act together for Randy's return next week.  I don't think the Vikings will play quite as dumb as the Chargers.  It's just not possible.

Merry Christmas Faldor!  It's going to be Tarvaris-Time.  Double ugh. Sad
Oh well, on the positive side, it may create some planning problems for Bellichik.

How's about some folks out in the media admit what Favre did (despite the interceptions, which, it should be mentioned were thrown on an ankle with an avulsion fracture)...the man was one foot in-bounds away from a Kirk Gibson/Tiger Woods-like performance on one leg, a 4th quarter comeback win.  I went from ecstasy to agony when I saw the Harvin replay.

F Childress.
1:  not challenging Quarles' td catch (which was CLEARLY not a catch)
2:  running out the clock up 17-14 with 30 seconds left and at least 2 timeouts left in the 1st half.
3:  throwing Favre under the bus in the postgame press conference after the guy played on a busted ankle and was one foot away from winning the game with his arm.
F Childress.

Dallas are the most heartless, overrated, non disciplined cocksuckers I've ever seen. I've never been more disappointed in one of my sports teams as I am this year's Cowboys.

They're costing me $5!   rant
I will give kudos to Buehler...I needed 10 fantasy points tonight to win...so far he's got 10...but if he misses an extra point... nervous

Yeah D...I'm sorry.  There's no doubt Dallas is talented...but your adjectives above are completely on the money.  Hell, mail this season in and get a nice high draft pick.  As much as I hate Tarvaris, he's better than Kitna.  Good luck down there with Dallas man.  Ugh. Sad

btw, anyone else wanna give Favre shit?  The man nearly won the game on an ankle with what I've heard reported has 2 fractures.  I say give him @New England, home Arizona, and @Chicago off.
He could be braced and wrapped up for revenge against Green Bay in the Dome with 4 weeks rest.

I felt bad tonight.

in my money league. i was up by 22pts

i had Miles Austin

he had Romo and Felix Jones

I thought I was gonna get edged out which would've sucked cause I sit McFadden this week and blew 40 plus points.

so when Romo went down, i got happy as fuck.

Fantasy Football is the devil.

Romo is my QB in HTGTH league... so i could be fucked. just glad Prez and Gilee both lost also. now i gotta find a QB though.

Yeah I had Steve Smith and Romo in one league and needed 12 points, I got that with ease.  But in another league I needed 5 points from Austin and once he dropped those two balls early on, including a TD, I had a feeling it wasn't meant to be.  Then Romo went down and Kitna barely looked Austin's way.  I was doomed.  Some shitty coaching decisions on MY part though.  I too had McFadden on my bench.  That I can almost forgive because it wasn't even known how much he'd play, but I also sat Gates in favor of Celek.  BAD choice.

Cowboys should play the Chargers to see who the best BAD team in the NFL is.

As for the Vikings/Pats this weekend.  Call me crazy, but I'd much rather go against Favre.  You know what you're getting there and you know Brett's going to give you a handful of chances at an INT or a pick 6.  Tarvaris is a bit of an unknown, especially for a young defense.  And Randy Moss did fine with Matt Cassel at the helm, so I'm not certain the dropoff would be that large.  Brett hasn't exactly been playing at a Pro Bowl level so far this season.  I'm also not sold that he won't play this week.  The guy just doesn't miss games.  He may not finish the game in Foxboro, but until he's officially ruled out, I won't believe it.

Breaking news for you media: Season was over anyway.

From what I've read, I'm actually more confident Brett will play Sunday.
Give Adrian Fucking Peterson the ball!  Harvin, Moss...this team's got the talent.
Somebody better light a fire under our d-line's butt.  Did Jared Allen's influence disappear when he cut the mullet?  Fuck!

I think the Patriots are beatable.
If we can avoid turnovers, we can win this game.

Exactly, but Jerry Jones now has his excuse for a busted season.  Of course, Wade Philips is still getting fired.

Stupid fucking Jets. How the fuck do you get shutout at home against a shitty .500 team? Totally inexcuseable how they played today. They deserved to lose plain and simple. You can't get shutout at home against a team you should beat.

Okay, what can I say?  Congrats to the Pats.  Fire Childress.  In those conditions, to not take those 3 points at the end of the first half was an unnecessary risk.  My bro-in-law loved the fact the Vikes went for it...but, on that one I was right.

On the Jets front, my bro-in-law is a huge Jets fan.  He's mad that the Jets don't throw it more often.  I disagreed with him immediately.  If Sanchez was my qb, and I had the Jets solid defense, I'd be working Sanchez like the Bucs did with Brad Johnson and the Ravens did with Dilfer.  No question.  Especially in the conditions at the new Meadowlands today.

btw, I am not giving up on my Vikes unless we lose to the Cards at home next week.  If that happens we deserve to finish 5-11.  Ugh. Sad

IF Wade Phillips isn't fired tomorrow i will hand in my Dallas fan card.

my new favorite teams i am really enjoying watching are Oakland and ST Louis. Thats why i love fantasy. makes u pay attention to teams u normally wouldn't.

Im gonna win in my money league i think: I have a 12pt lead. He has Kevin Walter left and I have owen daniels and Anthony Gonzalez.

I picked up Lagarrete Blount about noon. didn't have the balls to start him though.
