Looking forward to tommorrow, Slash in Birmingham....

Might have to have a few glasses of wine before I head off, to get into the spirit of things. I'll probably be wearing one of my GN'R tour shirts, we'll see...

Anyone else from the boards who wants to meet One.In.A.Million ?. It'll be nice to meet some of you out there.  peace

Bloody car got a puncture yesterday and needed a new tyre this morning. Then an hour ago I realised my camera (which was fully charged yesterday I might add) had a flat battery, so I had to go out to town and buy a new adapter for the charger (seen as I bought it in America and hadn't gotten round to buying a travel converter socket yet).

These things are sent to try us.

But I'm set up and ready again to rock in Manchester tonight with the big man! ok

What can I say?, Slash was absolutely awesome... Cool

I got a good spot around the centre of the audience, and when Slash came out to Ghost, everyone went mental, with water bottles in the air and everything.  Grin

He played a nice setlist, similar to the one that's going around. And the GN'R songs rocked, just as well as his other songs like Starlight and Slither. I was really surprised at how well recieved Slither was, the crowd was really going mental at that one. Shocked

And then Sweet Child came, and again it rocked, as did Paradise City....

I really wish I could have gone to Manchester too, but I was late getting the Brum tickets, and I also payed over double the amount for them off getmein.com.

But YES, it was worth every penny, and it has actually changed my view on Slash alot. I can see his energy and passion, and he was talking to the crowd all the time. During Paradise City, as Myles sang the chorus, Slash was singing his version to the crowd with his mouth, "Where the girls are fat, and got big titties", loved that. Grin

Robin Finck remains my favourite guitarist of all time, but Slash has gone up my list of GN'R guitarists alot. And let's just say a "current" member of GN'R is not even a patch on Slash and Robin, I won't name names, but you guys know already.... Tongue

Not going to beat a dead horse, but seeing Slash last night made me sad about the current state of GN'R, especially with Robin not being in the band no more.........

Thank you Slash, you rocked Birmingham........

"You guys have been the perfect audience, thank you" - Slash, Birmingham 20th July

Cool.  I can't wait to buy that DVD!  I still haven't gotten the chance to see him on his solo tour.

Let's hope that the Stoke crowd gives Slash just as good of a show, that Birmingham and Manchester did....

I for one know that the Birmingham crowd was amazing, and both Slash and Myles kept on saying they didn't want to leave, and how the crowd was awesome.  Cheesy

So the tour is over.  I can't remember, is this it for the Slash/Myles tour until the album comes out?  Or have more dates been mentioned.

That was it - at the moment.  I'm sure there'll be more after the album is released....
