Ok, guys One.In.A.Million will be at the Birmingham show...

Although I've seen GN'R 23 times, I've never seen Slash, so I want to at least see him once. So could anyone post a few setlists from his latest shows, so I can get a feel for how his set may go.

Should be fun, would be cool to meet a few board members there.  Cheesy

Granted these were back in April, but here are the setlists from the last 3 shows they played.

The core of them is the same, but depending on what night you were there he did change some songs up so I would expect to see that continue as it has generally what he has done on headlining shows.

Sucker Train Blues

I was hoping he would play Jungle, but who knows he might still. But I really want to see his Sweet Child solo, should be awesome to see it live...

And that's another reason why I want to see him on this tour, rather than a VR tour or something. Because he is more likely to play more GN'R songs when it's his own solo show, and I'm more interested in hearing Brownstone, Rocket Queen and Sweet Child rather than Slither or Meanbone.  Wink

saw him live a few mos ago in Charlotte- the key is to arrive very eary & get right in front of SLASH which i did- it was fucking incredible!  Not impressed at all with his band especially Myles the lead singer, He can sing fine & all but he's way too fucking happy- doesn"t have Axl's VENOM for GNR songs but seeing SLASH, my fav guitarist of all time playing some of my favorite GNR songs of all time- at least half were GNR SONGS was fucking incredible! I've seen "Nu GNR" Many times so to see & hear him up close performing these songs was like plugging in the other 1/5 of the equation that was missing ( although i love all NuGnR as well).  He was simplY on fire & did many extended solos- they definitely highlited him as the main event of the night & he didn't dissappoint. I like many of his other solo songs & covers as well so yeah if you have the chance, no brainer- fucking go!- Slash, small club, low price- ez decision ok

SLASH IN PARADISE

9th July 2011

GUITAR hero Slash has promised to take Scottish fans to Paradise City when he plays his first T In The Park today.

The mop-haired Guns N? Roses icon may be a festival veteran but has never rocked Balado?s historic airfield.

Slash, 45, told me: ?It?s the first time here.

?Everybody in Scotland is gassed about it and really excited so I know it?s a pretty good festival.?

The LA hero loves playing gigs in the UK because we still embody the true spirit of rock ?n? roll. He explained: ?The last vestige of rock ?n? roll has to be alive and well at UK rock festivals.

?Sometimes you think that rock ?n? roll is dying a miserable death, espec?ially if you listen to the radio.

?But then you go to these festivals and the spirit and energy of the whole thing is overwhelming. It?s the industry killing it, not the public.?

The British-born guitarist joins an astounding line-up that includesColdplay, Arctic Monkeys and Foo Fighters.

Then he embarks on a UK tour this month that takes in his childhood home of Stoke-on-Trent and London?s High Voltage festival.

Despite endless questions about Guns N? Roses and Velvet Revolver, Slash is focused on his solo career.

He revealed: ?I?m recording new material for myself. and I?m working with the band that I?m touring with because they are so hot.

?We?re no nearer to getting a new Velvet Revolver vocalist.?

Glad somebody is keeping rock alive and kicking.

saw him last night here in Paris at le Z?nith. not a big fan of what the guy has done since Guns, but I was invited, VIP zone, so...

the sound was not really good, but it's always the same at le Z?nith so the band is not to blame on that one.
I enjoyed the Guns covers, Patience, Nightrain, Sweet Child, Rocket Queen, Paradise City, Brownstone, and most of all Civil War (if only Guns could play it...)

Slash's solos was, well...sometimes really good on some VR stuff (Slither, By The Sword), sometimes he was just out (or annoying, like on
the Godfather theme which is much toooo loooong) Myles Kennedy can hit the notes and he's a decent singer, but a bit boring to listen to,
and his stage presence is total clich?.

they played two songs for the first time, a Snakepit one (can't remember the name) and another one I don't remember either.

It's a classic hard rock show, very minimalist with no screens and no big lights effects, it was OK (but just that) and I didn't feel any magic.

found the setlist :

Been There Lately
Nightrain
Ghost
Mean Bone
Back From Cali
Rocket Queen
Civil War
Nothing to Say
We?re All Going to Die
Speed Parade
Starlight
Promise
Watch This
Rise Today
Patience
Sweet Child O? Mine
Slither

I give him credit-he plays 3 songs from what was commercially his worst selling album, the 2nd snakepit album-I'm sure most of the crowd has no idea what those songs are.
