After the final Guns N' Roses show of the UYI tour Axl headed back to the hotel where he jammed on the grand piano to whats believed to me:

uM > uR > Master Cassette > Huh > WAV
Sweet Home Alabama, Solitary Man, and Let It Be

Has this been confirmed to be the real deal? Heard this awhile ago and thought it was fake...

Assuming so, this was photographic proof from the taper.

Also this was posted due to impatient people not wanting to wait for a certain something to go down in order for more things to get circulated.

Everyone clap for Dave! ok *FAIL*

Cool...it finally saw the light of day.

It would be cool to have a CONFIRMATION that is Axl but I think it is.

"Sweet Home Alabama" and "Let It Be" in the piano...pure gold.

Sorry but I can't believe it's him. Anyone could play that on Piano, throw some hiss on there and make it sound "old".

The guy who gave me this recording months ago told me that a friend of him was the recorder.

But it's your choice to believe or not. I understand that people don't believe in this...there's no solid proof

And what was the point in not sharing it before, if it "has been around"?

And what was the point in not sharing it before, if it "has been around"?

some people (not me, to be honest, i tried to share Houston and Puerto Rico for a long time) was expecting to get some other ''rare'' stuff for them, which I find very sick, because I think everything should be leaked instantly. This collecting thing should be FUN, not business.

I didnt upload Houston before not because of this, but because I was waiting for someone to ''clean it'' a little. And trust me he did because he that person gave me a great sounding sample.

About ''the source'' of all these new releases...all i know is a lot of money was involved to get Houston and Puerto Rico. Which is simply fucking disgusting IMO. An allegedly ''retired'' guy from the trading community... ha...

Yeah, that's kinda weird. I don't know...no offense to these shows, but I don't think I'll download them because they're not as interesting to me (except Houston, which looks cool) as the Las Vegas 2001 DVD for instance, or any pro-shot or nice audience shot. Audio is fine but I really prefer video (which is why I shared the Osaka DVD). Just my opinion though.

Wheter this thing is for real or not, I think its great that uncirculated stuff been released the last few days.
In a perfect world everybody would share their recordings, so that every one who is interested should be able to enjoy their favorite band, and all the hoarding (and thereby also selling stuff for a lot of money....) would probably stop.

I was in the trading community for many, many years. However, with growing up, getting a family etc etc, things have changed.
(Less time for trading, same interest though...)
I used to have a couple of shows that "were hidden", and that I didnt put in my trading list.
One reason was to use that to get other "rare" stuff, and that worked for a while.

The other reason was a bit more difficult, and that was in the respect for the filmer of a show.
Lets say, hypothetically, that I still have a show, rare, hoarded, saved, hidden, call it whatever you wanna call it.... should it be "ok" to share this now that the years have passed, or should the wishes of the filmer always be carved in stone, for ever and ever, even if they're more or less "out of the trading/gnr interest-world" anymore?

I also wonder why new/old things are shared now? Same reason as above? Oh well, just a few thought sitting at work here....

I perfectly understand your point, once i get the istambul 93 show before it was released but the only condtion was never share it, or release cuz that was the taper wish

As for me, for the old school stuff, I'd really like to see videos (pro shot if possible Grin) of L.A Forum 91, Madison Square Garden 91, Rio 92 and Tel Aviv 93. That would be so cool...
