Why would they have "lengthy negotiations" (quote from the article) if they think it's too big a risk to book them?  Huh

contradicting isn't it?  as if the rate could rise while negotiating ...

US in the fall???

or late summer? Cheesy

Lou, could Guns draw enough to play a place like this in the UK?  Emirates Stadium, 60,000 capacity.

Doubt it to be honest, but possibly similarly to '06, two nights in London (maybe the popular O2 arena this time), then arena shows in the major cities are possible. Don't care where they play, ill be there!

Don't think Emirates has ever hosted a music concert - any concerts in stadiums for London would go to Wembley usually, though Iron Maiden played Twickenham last year (England Rugby Stadium). GnR would be better off going to O2 Arena - excellent acoustics apparently, they sold out two nights at Wembley Arena (not stadium) in 2006 and played a few other arenas around the UK - so long as they don;t come to the UK between 8th and 16th June ...  I am in China then..

"High rate" means 2 or 3 shows out of 30+ since 2006. Yeah, thats reasonable. Roll Eyes

get real dude. 3 out of 4 gnr shows I was planning to go to in the past decade got cancelled. (and they were on different tours- I dont know why I still call my self "Lucky" Cheesy)
I bet some of them were from that 2001 tour that was never supposed to happen in 1st place. And past DECADE isn't really something you could use as time frame when they in fact did A LOT of shows since 2006.

Taken from mygnr and it seems that Norway are in the picture too...

Quote
I just found this article in the paper today: http://www.ba.no/puls/musikk/konsert/storkonserter/article4810336.ece (in Norwegian)

It says they're working hard to get at least one big rock band to Norway (Bergen) this summer. Guns N' Roses is the band they're trying to get there most af all, and they're working with it now. Lots of news papers etc. have been asked to help out with money...

My point; You think this means gnr are planning a Europe tour? I mean, they wouldn't have worked for gnr if they wasn't going to Europe at all?

Emirates Stadium has not hosted a concert for any band.

TBH the only football ground that does host shows are Wembley Stadium.  Twickenham has been used in recent years for Rolling Stones, Bon Jovi, Iron Maiden.

I think the shout for O2 seems to be the best one.

That's right. Bruce Springsteen played there in 2008 (30.05 and 31.05.)

I really hope some of the Finnish promoters are in contact with Guns, I think it's more likely Guns comes to Finland than to Sweden.

But it seems strange that Dizzy should take a flight to US in the middle of an Euro-tour.

All the members have their projects n stuff but not when GNR are touring. Or am i wrong!?

The Euro Tour could start after that date, though.

Yes, but first, those are just rumors.  Second, the tour could run through May and/or part of June.  Also, there could be a break in the tour.  Who knows?  There are too many possibilities and not enough confirmed information to draw any conclusions at this point.
