This is my little Canadian tour blog thread. Like with the one I did for Asia, I'll try to post little updates here and there along the journey.
Jan 10th:
Almost done packing. Yes, warm clothes too.
I'm supposed to be used to cold weather so the temperatures in Canada aren't freaking me out. It's winter after all....

In Germany, the real Germany! Got a bit delayed due to the snow and missed my flight to Canada.
Fortunately the airline managed to juggle me onto a flight tomorrow. * fingers crossed *
early morning flight to hopefully look forward to.

Hello Winnipeg!
Got here via Frankfurt, Paris and Toronto.
My luggage didn't manage to keep up with my globetrotting ways and decided to stay an extra day in Paris.
No wonder Air Canada gave me a free sandwich on the flight from Toronto to here....
It's -11C outside, just like back home....

God morning.
Went out to buy some t-shirts and stuff today while I await the delivery of my luggage. Maybe today, maybe not....
First show tonight.
Exciting! It's nice to be here in Canada. Even though things haven't gone as smoothly as one could hope.
Oh well, minor detail. GN'R is playing tonight....

Winnipeg -> Calgary
On a bus to Calgary. Left Winnipeg this morning and been traveling all day. Stopped for breakfast just outside Winnipeg.
Did get some sleep during the day.
Had a cheese burger for dinner and this bus got Internet.
Air Canada says my luggage is arriving in Calgary tonight.... We'll see.

Made it to Calgary last night, at around 11PM. Then went to airport to pick up my lost luggage.
It only took them three days to get it here from France!

Jan 15, part 2
Did some sightseeing and realized pretty soon that there's not a lot of sights around downtown Calgary.
Went out to lunch with Fernando and a bunch of others.
Never a dull moment.
Later on, a few beers in downtown Calgary while watching the Flames lose....
Nice day. A bit windy at times, but nothing too bad.
Show tomorrow at the Saddledome.

Went to a Tim Horton's for some coffee.
While in line, a Nickelback song comes on the radio.

Last night's show in Calgary was great. Bubbles made a guest appearance on Liquor & Whores!
Got back to the hotel and got some sleep before waking up to pack the little stuff I hadn't already packed the day before.
Boarded the bus and on my way to Edmonton now.

Got into Edmonton, had some food and enjoyed the show.
It was kinda cool to be in the same venue where such great hockey players as Wayne Gretzky, Jari Kurri, Mark Messier etc. had all played and won at.
Afterwards, I had some drinks and pizza.
When I woke up, we were driving into Saskatoon.
Went out to see what this place looks like in day light, and ended up going to a mall.
Had a late lunch there at a food court and then realized everything closes at 5:30PM.....

The Regina crowd was pretty cool

Arrived in Toronto, or as some call it Tonto.
Flew in from Regina, or as some would call it... Well, never mind.
Got a couple of days off before the tour continues with shows here in Ontario.
Looking forward to doing some sightseeing....
