ok, i'm not bitching about the current set lists, i mean they're th best thing i could hope for a gn'r show, but with the band playing whole lotta rosie and a couple of new covers like sonic reducer or my generation, and being a huge fan of the sftd version, i think it sound great with fortus, bumble and ashba.

If it will ever be played, this is the band that will play that.

I'm dreaming in the depths of my sick brain about Breakdown,Dead Horse,Coma and Locomotive. Shit, I got a load in my pants as I wrote that. drool

You're right. This band could probably play anything, especially Breakdown or Estranged in Winnipeg.  Wink

There's about much chance of the band playing Sympathy for the Devil as there is that they play One in a Million........

I think GnR has a huge catalog of songs to choose from and they're privileged in that sense. They can make a whole different setlist each concert if they want to. Not bitching about what they've done so far of course. IMO "Sympathy for the Devil", GnR's version, is great and it's like the right song that they did in the wrong time. They should try revisiting it now, with this line-up, for sure it would kick ass. I'd move it to the top of my list of covers.

Personally, it's one of my fave GnR tunes overall...don't ask me why, but it is..

But would they play it? I don't know..I'm surprised they haven't....then again, the whole large catalogue thing is true

Well it would be better than the studio version which is over produced crap, if you like that song do yourself a favour and listen to The Stones version. I love almost everything that any member of Guns has ever done and I'm a huge Axl fan but I hate their version of SFTD, its so wide of the mark of everything that the orginal captures.

Yes I think its possible, the new band Axl has assembled is excellent, they are all amazing performers and considering the occasional obscure gn'r songs they play like down on the farm in 06 and nice boys the other day its very possible theyll do it. Id rather see 'sympathy' played any day over live n let die or heaavens door.
