..I don't think there's any restrictions on what a band plays live..
I actually think there is. I don't know how it really works, but in theory you can't play songs live if you don't have the permission for that particular song. But you know.. does any band really care about that
But in this case it might have something to do with the lawsuit.
That can't be true. The local cover band that plays at the dive bar down the street doesn't have to call Axl Rose to see if they can play "Sweet Child O' Mine".
I think it's just a coincidence they haven't played Riad yet, and we'll probably hear it somewhere down the line.

That's what I said: does any band really care about that law.
Edit. And when it comes down to playing in a bar/club, owner of the place is responsible for having a license from the group or who ever has the rights. Or at least that was the case a couple of years ago, there were lawsuits and all kinds of shit (found this for example:
http://pittsburghlive.com/x/pittsburghtrib/news/rss/s_489572.html
). These laws keep changing all the time though..
Anyway, we're getting way offtopic here.

Didn't Ron play a snippet of Estranged at one of the Asian shows?

Ron has played at very short snippet of "Estranged" during his solo spot at all the shows, as far as I know. But I wouldn't count that as the song being played. Need a little more than 5 seconds.

I think if Riad was forbidden, it wouldn't be sold on PlayStation Network for the Rock Band 2 game. And I bought it last week.

I love things like this, I still have the one someone made about 2 years ago, which was called ' GNR Tour overview 84-07 '. It will be nice if we can keep this going as the tour progresses. Especially since the Asia, Canadian and the upcoming South American tours are the first since the albums release.

Hope they play "Prostitute", "Catcher N' The Rye" and "There Was A Time" here.
Yes...I'm asking too much but considering that there's only one date in Argentina, maybe they give us an absolutely awesome show
