I was asking a specific question, no mystery involved.
I assume your answer to my question is 'I don't know'.
 peace

I don't know the answer but I think axl sang it only in Japan so far. maybe Shannon and axl talked about touring japan together? who knows.

this time it was short in osaka and in tokyo at first ron and the crowd singing along which wasn't loud enough and axl joined.

I don't get neither the sarcasm or the point you're trying to make.

I do know the answer.

I am sure that there is a special place in Axl's heart where he will forever hold the memories of lost loved ones.

However, I will never understand why you and others take such pleasure in wanting to believe that Axl is some kind of emotional mental case that can't deal with these kinds of things or any hardships or difficulties that are a part of everyone's life.  (Sorry, Axl.  Don't mean to ruin your reputation.)

IMO, people like you are just as bad as these corporate suits Axl is referring to:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1nPY0k56myQ&feature=channel

Little review by violentstone @ mygnrforum.com:

anyways, after Paradise City and the band had finished taking a bow,
Axl grabbed the mic and said 'We still got some time?'
and then proceeded to do a little rant;) where he
said: This year has been the f,..ing worst year of my life personally,
coorporate shit have people telling me to 'man up to it'
and constantly ruining things for me and you. (or something along those lines)
..Then he thanked the crowd for making the tour happen.

Bottom Line:

OBVIOUSLY, Axl has no problem with Ron playing Don't Cry as part of his solo on this tour or the last.

OBVIOUSLY, Axl has no problem joining Ron onstage to sing Don't Cry whenever or why-ever he feels like it.

Axl is trying to get things done his way for our benefit and from the looks n' sounds of this Asian leg of the tour, his way is pretty fuckin' awesome!!!

What does it matter why he doesn't sing 'Don Cry' completely or not?? Mayby he is just bored by it, who knows (don't forget it's the first Gunner songs ever). Some of you really look to far into things.

Anyway, they did play 'Whole lotta Rosie' and 'Nice Boys'. That is fucking great!! I can't get over that. I hope for Breakdown or Estranged one day, but that is just a wish, not a demand. I am perfectly happy with how the setlists are these days  Grin

I don't believe there's a reason...

« Reply #288 on: December 21, 2009, 10:56:22 AM »

Not the point I was trying to make but thanks for the correction.  Smiley

Oh yeah..
Sorry!  hihi

Then again it sorta does make my point because why would Axl sing Nice Boys at those two shows and NOT the rest of the 06-07 tour??  And now he's singing it again!!!  So what deep dark secret is he hiding in his psyche now??!!!  OH THE HUMANITY!!! crying

 Tongue
He sang Nice Boys because Angry was there - or he invited Angry because he wanted to sing Nice Boys... well, we don't know, but at least there's a reason... he didn't sing Don't Cry before because... ha, we dont know again.

I'm also wondering why he didn't do that before but it's his choice...

There's a whole bunch of songs from the GNR catalog that the fans would love to hear that the band hasn't done (yet).

Ron, last year picking Don't Cry as his solo, gave Axl the opportunity to join in and sing it whenever he wants to.

Mystery Solved.  Case Closed.

It's hard to hear for English speakers too.

All I heard was, "bullshit, fuck you, thank you, and bottom of my heart."

They should use that monitor footage for a video, if they ever release that as a single.

Looks and sounds amazing.
