Someone commented that Axl doesn't want to play it since Shannon Hoon is dead... is this true?  Huh

Obviously not, since there he is singing along.
Axl also joined Ron to sing it during the last three(?) Japanese shows in 2007.

show sounds excellent from the clips I saw.

Axl sounds as great as he's ever sounded, and I'm really digging the Ron/DJ combo.

Catcher would do well if released for the radio.

2007 was the last tour.

And from the "Tour Date" notes on the main site page, I believe Axl might have sang it at all five of the Japanese shows during the last tour.

Yea Ron had been playing Don't Cry as his solo for most of th 2006-2007 tour but it wasn't until the end in Japan(i think) when Axl started singing it again.

And I seriously doubt that Ron would blatantly disrespect someone's grief so I'm sure it was fine with all parties concerned that Ron played that as his solo.

Whatever, it's not such a big deal anyway.
I was just curious if anyone had heard about that.  Smiley

I've always been wondering why he wouldn't sing it during 06-07.

He didn't sing Nice Boys during 06-07 but he did now.

No deep-dark mystery to it.  I guess he did it just because he/they wanted to.

He did sing "Nice Boys" in 2007 with Angry Anderson in Australia.

I don't get neither the sarcasm or the point you're trying to make.
I was asking a specific question, no mystery involved.
I assume your answer to my question is 'I don't know'.

Holy shit!! What an amazing setlist again. Axl sounds better than ever. They way he moves reminds me of the old days. He has lost nothing of his glory, he only improved.

The rest of the band sounds better than any line-up before. I must admit I was not crazy about DJ Ashba at first (the shallow side of me just based that on his emo look) but now I have to say his contribution to the band is amazing. He makes Gunners sound...better and he gives them this extra kick!

I hope 'Whole lotta Rosie' is a keeper. It's sounds fabulous, tight and kicks ass!

Congratulations GUNS N' ROSES!  ok ok ok

I don't think it can be said enough how great Axl sounds.  He's attacking these songs.

Ron Thal is insane.
