The highest new entry in this week's NME Chart? Guns N' Roses.

continued...

Yep, you read that right, and it's not some optimistic campaign to put the defunct rock gods in the top spot ahead of that midget off 'The X Factor'. Rather it's a gorgeous cover by ex-Concretes girl Victoria Bergsman. It's in at #2.

Elsewhere and Depeche Mode, School Of Seven Bells and Darwin Deez are new to the chart, along with a personal favourite, Blackroc featuring Mos Def and Jim Jones.

As ever, NME TV has the top ten tomorrow and Wednesday at 9am and 6pm while NME Radio reveals our Christmas Number One next Monday at 10am. It's a McElderry-free zone...

So it's not Guns N' Roses (who are in no way "defuct" btw) it's someone covering Guns N' Roses.

I know, how dare they say this band is "defunct". Guns N' Roses' brilliance cannot be questioned, this band is nothing short of epic.
