I've been watching the DVD from the Osaka '09 gig during this weekend and I must say I absolutely LOVE Frank's drumming! Seems like a perfect fit for GNR and the guy has an awesome groove. Brain was a great drummer technically, but Frank seems to fit GNR better, since he comes from more of a hard rock backround (his first inspiration was KISS)...

Since 2006 I've been saying that Ferrer was the greatest drummer in Guns N' Roses history.

This audio confirms it

If this is the Frank's appreciation thread, this is the Frank's appreciation audio: http://www.heretodaygonetohell.com/board/index.php?topic=60604.0

THANK YOU VERY VERY VERY VERY MUCH TO THE PERSON WHO RECORDED THIS! IT'S AMAZING (I know the intention wasn't to focus on Frank but the non-desired-result for me IT'S AMAZING!)

I think Frank has come a long way since his first GN'R show, which I believe was the one after Paris in 06, which was Graspop.

Frank adds new drum fills here and there, that really compliment any song he is playing. Most recently I have noticed that the You Could Be Mine chorus, sounds alot more heavier, much like the CD version. And that's all down to Frank.

Thank You Ghetto Metal, for being an excellent drummer for GN'R over the last 4 years. And here's to many more years to come.

Agreed. Frank continues to excel with each and every gig played. He's definitely got his own style which makes his playing all the more enjoyable. I'm really hoping to see alot of his work on the next album.

For having seen Frank five times so far I must admit he is a kick ass drummer... that was actually my first impression in 2006 as well.
I'm also happy to have witnessed his first ever GN'R gig in 2006...

Cheers

When I saw GN'R in Toronto, I instantly noticed a change in the drums from previous shows. Frank has improved alot and has improved alot of his fills and patterns.

People must have noticed how heavy the You Could Be Mine, choruses have become. I also like when he goes into Rocket Queen, from a slightly different drum pattern. Then he goes into the intro when the guitars come in, like Rons sliding and Richards chords.

I think his boots, help him to play alot better.  Grin

Frank's upgrading his website.  He has some other pics posted there and a link to buy tickets for his and Richard's band "The Compulsions" January 27th show at the Mercury Lounge (NYC).

BUT THE BEST MOST AMAZING AWESOME PART IS THIS ....

I think I misunderstood what Frank is saying in that FB post.  Embarrassed

I think what he's upgrading is the car or car engine or something car-ish.

But there's still other cool pics n' stuff on his site so you should check it out anyways.  Grin

I must admit that I'm first and formost a Brain fan, and I'll always consider him to be my favourite drummer. But in saying that, Frank has come into his own within the last few years. And now he has become much more adapt and an all round better drummer before he joined Guns.

I remember when Frank first started playing shows with GN'R, people commented instantly how he made IRS and YCBM heavier. He is certainly a fan favourite and has become a very valuable member of the GN'R family.  Smiley

Great drummer and lovely down to earth person. Got to play with him live in 2010 and having already toured with Steven Adler back in 2006 I can quite honestly say I was stunned by Frank's playing in comparison. The backbone of New GNR by far!!!  ok

Mr. Frank played with Tool last night. He came out and did a drum off against Danny Carey on Lateralus.
