How did everyone like the new stage setup?

We only have some clips and a few photos from yesterday, but here's what I got...

-Three different peninsulas, like we saw on the Ticketmaster seating charts.  Nice!

-A Big Screen behind Frank, and two off to the side.

...but were those cylindrical do-hickey's Big Screens as well, or some kind of light tower?  If anyone could clarify what those things are and what function they serve, that would be great.

-A big sweeping staircase for a drum riser instead of the apartment building like staircase from the 2002 and 2006/7 tours.

- Where were Dizzy and Chris?

-Pyro.  It seemed to have been taken to a whole different level.

-The piano.  They switched their pianos from Steinway & Sons to Baldwin.

Anyone else notice anything different?

Do you guys like the new additions to the stage show?

I totally loved the stage. It's amazing!

Chris and Dizzy are "upstairs" (in another riser) confused to big staircase that is behind the drums.

Overall very impressed though I will not watch any more videos so I can experience it live in almost a month.  I posted a few vids and pics on some local sites in SK so those on the fence could see that GnR is going all out on this tour.

You really can't see Chris in any of the youtubes.  Sad

I wonder if that's because he has to be so focused on all the synth things going on or does he simply just prefer it to be that way or maybe it's just that the videos we got to see so far just don't happen to be the ones he's highlighted in?

This lighting rig that goes up and down, very interesting.

I also noticed more of those transparent video screen things on top of the lighting rig (the round parts).

We need some pictures from Japan to investigate further.

adding the light show!!
i've found the 2006 light show amazing allready....but can it be they topped that again big time? only could judge from small youtube-clips yet though.....but there's sooo much going on during the songs, that this alone is some kind of eye-erection!

It does look amazing and it all works very well with the show.

The lights, the video, the pyro, the music and the performance.

Hopefully you all get to experience it soon.
