Wasn't there but after getting up at 6am to see what has appeared on line, this is my opinion.
Axl looks amazing and totally cool, I've always loved how he changes his look, even if I haven't always loved the look - in the early 90's when he had the beard he looked like my history teacher! This new look is really cool, I love it.
More importantly his voice, it sounds fucking incredible.
The rest of the band sound tight as fuck. I'm so pleased we got all the CD songs that we did, the new band has ownership of these songs and I think thats added so much. Ron is just such a talent, they all are though. DJ seems like the perfect fit and sounds a much neater guitar player than Robin.
10/10 I just hope they come to the UK sometime soon.
I'm 32 and still hero worship this band like I did when I was 14 years old.

I know what you mean bro. I was 5 when I first heard Gn'R (yeah, I know, lol, so what, I thought the cover of appetite looked cool) I was 9 in 1993 when I first saw them (second row!!!) And I am still just as obsessed as I ever was

Guns N' Roses Perform At Taipei County Stadium
Axl RoseGuns N' Roses kicked off the Chinese Democracy Tour in Taipei, Taiwan, Republic of China last night (Dec. 11 in China), marking the band's first gigs in support of its 2008 CD. Footage from the Taipei County Stadium show has been leaked around YouTube and other video sharing sites with the videos
showing an amazing performance from a band that sounds refreshed, energized and ready to kick some ass around the world. Lead vocalist Axl Rose appeared on stage wearing a hat with his non-braided hair pulled back. Taipei television broadcast screen captures show the rock legend in fine form
.
The band performed several selections from the Chinese Democracy CD, including opening the show with the title track. The latest single Street of Dreams remains at #44 on the Canadian Active Rock Charts and GNR Greatest Hits rose one point to #18 on the Canadian Hard Rock Charts. GNR Greatest Hits has been on the Canadian charts for 298 weeks. Chinese Democracy topped the charts in its first week of release in 2008, selling 70,000 copies in Canada. The last time GNR topped the charts prior to that was in 1991 with Use Your Illusion II.
The outdoor stadium shows in Asia this month will generate unprecedented world attention as the new GNR have plans for a world tour which will include Canada and South America in 2010. The band returns to Canada for 13 dates in January and February, while the South American shows are expected between March and April.

Flew half way around the world to cover this, and just back checking the
coverage. All I can say, after being to over 28 GN'R shows since 1987, this was
the BEST GN'R show I've seen, hands down! Tommy Stinson and DJ Ashba killed it,
and Rose was on fire--showing more attitude and energy since the 88 Ritz show!
A whole new focus, determination, and was totally blown away! This being GN'R,
it may fall apart tomorrow, but the show last night, reminds why this is one of
the greatest rock bands to grace the planet!
Its all happening again

If Taiwanese TV-channel showed some clips, did somebody record it? Hopefully.
Im very happy about DJ, he has brought different sounds to new GNR, and i like it. His solo parts sounded great, considering this was his 1st GNR-liveshow.

I think the reports beforehand said around 20,000 people.. From the videos I've seen, the crowd looks and sounds amazing! Singing along to everything.

Looks like it was a great GNR show, as all are, and I'm amazed as how Axl has only gotten better vocally, well I'm not amazed, I'm happy , cause as the yrs have gone on he and the band have only improved so much, and still make it feel so fresh and new!

The show last night was surreal, sucks for those that weren't there. From a fan to another, was great. Was great hearing Tommy sing My Generation, brought the crowd and crew to their feet in joy!
We are working in getting more visuals out to you guys, in real time. So bare with us while we attempt to move what feels like mountains to get this done.
