Don't think it's careless whisper,

could be wrong... but I think it's just a genious solo by Ashba!

I think that this is careless whisper, it sounds just like it.

Gotcha. Hadn't seen that one yet. Definitely the same chord progression as Careless.

This is just way too cool and I was stuck with the tune and can't stop going back listening to it at least 2 or more times before I can let go of it.    peace yes peace ok

I think this definitely tops Godfater.

perhaps we should start a thread to vote on the 2 solos and I am pretty confident on this new  theme against any perfomance back then.

No, no, no.

If you want to talk about Slash you know where the Velvet Revolver section is.

Yeah I thought it sounded like "Careless Whisper" in parts too.  Not sure if it is or not though.

Man!  Axl sounds and looks great!  Love DJ!  The band seems so tight!  They have a different vibe about them, great chemistry!

agreed, and DJ doesn't butcher anything.  Also, they look like they are having fun, they didn't all the time before that is for sure.

i mean this is the FIRST FUCKING SHOW and they already sound that tight and thats on shitty youtube cellphone boots

cant imagine how it sounded live or proshot or soundboard

ALSO

great touch letting Tommy sing a song

Thats one of the things I loved about old school GNR how multiple members got to sing songs etc like Dust or So Fine or 14 years etc.

I was watching some footage with Bucket and Finck and it looked like Finck had just come off NIN tour.  It was disjointed.  Though in the studio I bet it was a different thing.  Now all the players mesh visually.  I love that Fortus, Ferrar and Stinson all have this punk rock background.  One thing about GN'R songs that make them motor is when the rhythm section is tight.  Those three guys are unreal players.
