Correct.

The author of the e-mail must've misread the press release and wrote founding instead of former.

An email coming from Nightrain? The email is written in English and Spanish. The author made the same mistake twice?

If that?s the case they better hire a competent guy

 in the English press release for this show doesnt it say:
The Mexico City date marks the fifth scheduled appearance in April of the iconic lineup featuring founder Axl Rose and former members Slash and Duff McKagan.?

I thought we were talking about the English press release from the official website, which says:

"On April 19, founding members Axl Rose, Slash, and Duff McKagan will be performing at the Foro Sol in Mexico City, Mexcio."

They weren't founding members.  Traci Guns, Ole Beich,  Rob Gardner, Axl and Izzy were the actual founding members.  Slash and Duff came later.

I know Duff plotted that HELL TOUR thinking he could push out Tracii and Rob because he didn't think they had what it took to really grind it. So I guess they were founding members really.

And not without precedent.  Remember the list of demands about how the Guns N' Roses / Metallica tour was to be promoted.

Yeah to an extent I have always felt that way too... but you're being disrespectful to the lineups over the past twenty years... and that upsets a lot of people around here...

and you know that every time you post...

I have CD and have it on Vinyl. The new band was great.

They just didn't start what was... and became what wasn't.

No matter how you slice it up Guns N' Roses is that AFD-UYI era guys. It just is. If people get mad about it then that is on them.

They made Guns N' Roses what it is today. They just did. I don't really hold 1 album in almost 20 years together a "band" really. No disrespect to them they were great. I was lucky enough to see them live too. Without them I wouldn't of seen them live.

Tommy is just as good as Duff in a lot of ways, Richard just as good as Izzy in technical guitar skill, and Buckethead/Thal/Finck etc are technically like Slash.

It wasn't a bad band at all.

They were playing mostly other people's songs though. They didn't really make it their own. 1 album doesn't mean that much. Although it is a great album it was just 1 album over a long period of time with random tours. Overall the post 1997 Gn'R was good, not great when you look at the big picture.

Original members will always have the keys to the legacy, no matter if people want to agree with that or not. They just do.
