lol, the only "media statement" and already it's a controversy. altough I can't see any aggressive stuff in that, I find it actually funny just as always in case of GNR - journalists try hard to bash GNR or create controversies out of clear air.

Quite amusing little update. Definitely sounds like an Axl comment. I doubt whether Duff or Slash would be concerned either way based on personality types. Axl does seem to inject a sense of humour even when annoyed these days which is nice to see.

I really didn't think Steven said anything bad ... I don't think he was trying to take credit for this ... Just that he had advised both of them to reconcile over the years ...

Maybe, maybe not.

I think the point made was that there's a bunch of people now who try to "claim" some kind of responsibility. Just because they, at some point in time, said to somebody "Hey, you should get the old band back together!". It's not the most original idea in the universe...

It's like if you said "GN'R should release an album" and then they do. Does it mean you're partly responsible for it?

The Steven Tyler interview aired Jan 25th on the Howard Stern show, not on the 27th when the gnr tweet was made. Nice detective work, super sleuth.

Maybe because eddie never said he had anything to do with the reunion.

Knowing about the reunion for months in advance and having something to do with are two completely different things.

People still distort what eddie says in order to discredit him, but he never claimed that.

As far as the dig, i think it's more directed to people like fred durst who had nothing to do with it and just said it for publicity and as a joke.

Steven is friends with slash and has discussed this with Axl as well, maybe it didn't do much, because a lot of people have wanted this and told it directly to axl and slash over the years, but he was just sharing his experience on the matter.
