Yeah, but the thing is we all know Tommy is a guy who jokes alot and has a laugh. So I wouldn't read too much into it, but in saying that Tommy must know the responsibility a comment like that carries, because we all know that media outlets are now going to be qouting him saying that a new GN'R album might be on it's way in 2011. 

The same thing happened with Ashba's comments, so if Tommy was joking, I don't think it's wise to do so because the media are gonna jump on it, like a bird of prey getting it's lunch.

Nice!  Magic happens when Tommy crosses his fingers.  I think it's clear the material for an album is there.  It's a question of when/if/how it will be released.

And a CD2 drop in the next year would make sense of the cut price CD at Best Buy. This could be a pre-CD2 promotion type thing to get on board floating fans to "get" the new Gn'R line-up and introduce them as a creditable band. Just a guess I know, but maybe Axl's worked out a promotion plan this time round and will commit to promoting it properly with a plan and a list of expectations from all sides.
