If you saw some of recent updates on Facebook (like the one with DJ interview) there's some people bashing Axl and the current line-up.

Bumblefoot << another GnR album.. >> We've yet to get in a room and write as a band - know DJ mentioned something about a new album, but don't want y'all expecting anything soon - other than old unreleased Chi Dem songs, songs need to be written, jammed, recorded, tweaked, re-worked, re-recorded, mixed, re-mixed, mastered, re-mastered, art, new art, label approval, a game plan from the label that Ax approves.... not as simple when it's on such a big scale...

Ron doesn't pussyfoot around this issue, and tells it like it is, good on him. I'm also happy he mentioned unreleased tracks from Chinese Democracy, so some will probably be included, Ron your a legend.

This appears to imply that if anything is released in the near future it will be songs from the chi den era as opposed to anything fresh / new from this line up. All good news non the less. Lookin forward to whatever comes next, sooner rather than l8r!

I agree, what Ron said strongly implies that alot of Chinese Democracy material will be carried over. DJ probably isn't used to GN'R fans jumping on everything and making their own assumptions. So Ron thankfully stepped in and gave us all a reality check, which really is the best thing.

I say don't expect a new album for maybe another 1-2 years, hate to say it but that's what I feel.

Who in their right mind would text DJ, after seeing his number by mistake. I can imagine what DJ went through, and the only answer was to get a new mobile.

DJ has alot of female fans, and it must have been rediculous, to recieve all them texts.

Obviously neither meanmachine78 nor I called the number but in fairness to those who did, it was just the phone number itself that was tweeted, nothing else.  As far as anyone knew, Dj could have been having a "24" moment where a phone number is put out there with the expectation that people will call it and get "inside info" on say like the release of his solo album or a personal appearance or something.

I don't really see that being a possible situation, as many people said the tweet disappeared a few minutes later. I think if it happened to me, I would instantly know it was a tweet made public in error. And then after waiting a while, it would re-affirm my position if I then saw the same tweet gone.

Just me though, another person may react differently, but I can't see it being possible that he would do that for inside info. He would have to change his phone number anyway after that, seeing as everyone would still know it and text him. I think DJ would do it in a different way if he wanted people to contact him, maybe through his facebook page?.
