Also seems consistent with the notes on that paper. He's using his 335 in Nice Boys, Think About You and Perfect Crime, his Telecaster in UTLH and his white Gretsch guitar (the same one pictured above) for Slither.

Yeah, I know.
But if they're really considering, I think it's a very nice gesture from Axl. I think it shows how much he's willing to keep things nice and cool between them...just as Slash and Duff had no problem and showed no resistance learning the CD songs.

AHHHH gotta admit... this has got me jacked up. I hope Axl sings one of my favorite non GNR songs ever.

The Slash solo in Slither is pure fire.

One thing to consider: there's no TWAT there. It was considered an alternative song on the setlist (instead of Coma, I guess).

Personally, I think they should not play VR, Slash's or Duff's songs.

I'd be ok with it if it were a jam, but wouldn't be happy if they used a spot to play a VR song. There's plenty of better things to play.

I have always wondered what Axl thought of the VR songs. He didn't answer that question when somebody asked in the chats years ago.

I wonder if Slither will just be an instrumental interlude to another song, one of those jam session type deals, maybe Duff on vocals? It'd be cool to hear it as a full band with Axl on vox. I always thought Slither was a pretty GnR sounding VR song, hearing Axl sing it would be pretty cool.

i always thought he didn't like it, but i think i mixed up the quote about snakepit.

didn't he want to do something with fall to pieces or something when slash showed some of it to him but slash took it back and said no?
