All of a sudden the things Ulises said in this thread make a lot more sense....
Anyway Spain was the better team and I congratulate my fellow spanish board members with the win, it just saddens me that the referee fucked up again, big time. Guess fake dives will win you the cup these days.

And as somebody who's from a country that's won the World Cup five times, I give you, Spain, a very warm welcome to the hall of the champions!

Congrats Spain, congrats Ignatius! You guys deserved it.
Robben missed two great opportunities. Overall, Holland didnt really played fair and well IMHO.
We'll wait for all of you guys here in 2014!
Ps: damn, I'm fucking sad that its all over already.

Congrats to Spain! Euro and World Champions!
They won it by 1 - 0 again!
Webb did a good job in such a tense final, with a lot of fouls. I don't think anyone can complain about the red card, it was long overdue. That boot in Alonso's chest should have been a straight red card. Anyway awesome job by the Spanish: Nadal and now the football World Cup.

Half the Dutch team should have been sent off. Luckily, some great Spanish play acting ironically got one of them sent off. It was a poor final imo.

Oh so I guess you missed how puyol should've been send off?, or iniesta diving? or not giving the dutch a corner in such a critical phase of the match?......anyway i'm better of not debating this with anyone right now.
I'm off to the pub

All of a sudden the things Ulises said in this thread make a lot more sense....
If not wishing somebody else dead makes me know "nothing about football", then fine.
There's nothing funny about shit like that. Ask Andr?s Escobar's family.
Yes the referee made some mistakes. But how many games have you seen where they don't?
Win some, lose some.

Emotion is clearly something alien to you. Anyway like I said I'm off to the bar.
I'll happily debate the match with anyone tomorrow.

No, but some things are better kept to yourself.
You can't use "I was upset" as an excuse can you?
"I'm sorry for beating the shit out of that guy at the bar, but I was upset". Does that work?

Ok. I knew you supported Brazil... And England.
Spain too?
Any teams, besides Holland, that you didn't support in the World Cup?

The ref made alot of bad decisions, but the players did not play with dignity. The Dutch made more bad fouls, but there were some from the Spainish as well. There was a bucket load of play acting going on with both teams. The teams were hitting out at each other off the ball, walls for free kicks were not 10 yards away, the players kept remonstrating with the referee in an undignified manner, the goal was celebrated wrong, the ball was kicked away at inappropriate times, and there were a few professional fouls as well.
Neither team deserved to win really, but at least the Spanish did not make too many heavy tackles, and for that, I am glad they won. If this had been an English Premiership game, there would have been more red cards, and the Dutch would have been fined after the match.

I was rooting for Holland, but Spain played very well and had most of the chances. I think it's fair to say that it was not an exciting match but that's football.
Holland didn't capitalise on their chances, and Spain tucked one away, simple as.
Congrats to Spain, my regrets to Holland.

It's ironic that when a player like Robben, who's one of the best at what he does, decided not to dive, he's not awarded a penalty/free kick.
He's been criticized for falling too easily and when he keeps going, he doesn't get the decision his way like he deserved...
Ironic.
It's no wonder players fall so easily. It seems to be the only way to get a free kick/penalty!
But's it's slowly ruining the games.... More and more acting instead of actual playing.

What, so I guess Spain is your 3rd team, or is there more we don't know about.
And why with the stupid comments like "cry Holland cry"?. They made it to the final, using just their feet, no hands whatsoever. (imagine that
). And they deserve respect, not smart ass comments like yours.
Even after what Germany did to England, I supported them throughout. And showed them respect, you seem to just glory hog every team you fancy to win or do well.
Alot of people have caught you out in this thread, by supporting multiple teams that suit you. And I think it makes you look extremely foolish to say the least.

Dives exist since football was created, and there are not more dives today than in the last world cup or in Germany '74 to say one randomly... there are a lot of conflictive issues to solve in football but dives are not one of them, definitely
Congratulations Ignatius! This is a good time for me to eat all the words i pointed at you

If there's not more diving now, why did the rules have to be changed?
