when you expressed Suarez (the uruguayian striker) ''cheated'', you just showed it all. I dont need to know anything more after that comment, sorry.
anyway, im not here to talk about you. you are the one sistematically trying to provoke argentine/SA fans here. Look at your last posts.
congratulations Spain. I cant really see you defeating Germany, but good luck anyway. David Villa is having a great world cup.

Common sense, Jarmo. The things you say and how you say the things, clearly show that you don't understand football that much or at least that football is not your first sport.
Point out how the things I say show that I don't understand football. Show me some examples.
What don't I understand about football? Please explain.
Go ahead, show me some evidence that I don't understand the sport.
And don't fucking dare to say "its because you don't understand that using your hand is ok in some cases" because that's a matter of personal preference.
I prefer FAIR PLAY, something the FIFA tries to promote.
http://www.fifa.com/aboutfifa/worldwideprograms/fifacampaigns/fairplay/code.html
1. Play fair
Winning is without value if victory has been achieved unfairly or dishonestly. Cheating is easy, but brings no pleasure. Playing fair requires courage and character. It is also more satisfying. Fair play always has its reward, even when the game is lost.
Playing fair earns respect, while cheating only brings shame. Remember: it is only a game.
And games are pointless unless played fairly.

Yeah, it's amazing how some of these people think they're the only ones who know anything about the sport.
For a country full of so many experts, it's quite amazing that they got humiliated that way by Germany today.
Even a bunch of losers like Finland, who know nothing about the sport, managed to draw twice against the Germans... Weird.

So you're seriously saying that one can't understand football if one has never played it? And what do you know really, maybe Jarmo follows every fucking European league or something, you don't know. Maybe he has played football or still plays? It's just sad that some of you come here telling this stuff about other people when you actually don't know anything about them.
And the handball stuff is a personal opinion, it has nothing to do with the knowledge of football. Hell, I've been playing football since I was 6 years old (so I
must
know something about football) and I agree with Jarmo here.

Jesus estebanf, I haven't been following this whole conversation, I just came in here to give my views on the Spain - Paraguay game, but I have to address you're comment.
In the interest of fair play and respect towards the other team, why is it so hard to understand that maybe some people think that Suarez did cheat, by stopping Ghanas winning goal with his hand?.
The guy should be on a volleyball team, he seemed too good at it. And the face he pulled when he was given the red card, give me a break. He looked at the ref as if to say "what is that for?".

I gave him a chance to point out, and supply me with evidence, why exactly he and others can claim I know nothing about the game.
If he can do that, and convince me that I'm totally clueless, I will admit it.
I don't have a problem in admitting if I'm wrong.
However, I take this as an insult. Because I don't think I am as clueless as some bitter Argentinians, who don't agree with me, seem to think.
As I said earlier, I hate to bring in age, gender or stuff like that into a discussion. But that's how this is. "If you haven't done this, you can't talk about it with me because you don't know anything".
That's pretty disrespectful considering they're pretty much talking out of their asses.

It's hard to explain, you know?. First of all because is something that you sense, not something with an empirical and certainly proof. Second of all, my english sucks and sometimes I want to say something but I don't know how so I cannot explain things like I want. Kinda dogmatic though...I see kaasupoltin or Mandy and think "ok...maybe they doesn't think like I do but at least they know about what they are talking about", with you I only see some kind of World Cup euphoria or something like that. But, like I said..it's just my opinion and according to svdv I'm naive, ignorant and clueless so you don't have to take so seriously what I say...
Svdv: First of all...Hi! how you doing? Hey..."ignorant"? Why so mean?
.
Relax dude...I'm just discussing with Jarmo. He knows how to play this argumentative game, he doesn't need any kind of defense.
Thanks for the chance given Jarmo, but I can't point it out. The way you express about certainly things shows me that, is subjective...what can I do?

Of course not. Because that's what I asked for. Some proof. And there isn't any.
I'm so surprised.

So the fact that I don't for example take time to comment on all the La Liga and/or Champions League games I watch (on TV, not at the stadium with my friends and family, sorry!) is your reason?
You basically admit that you're making a lot of
ass
umptions. Got it.
I was kicking a ball around, watching football on TV and collecting Mexico 1986 collector cards before you were born, son. But I don't look down on you, Mandy or anybody else because of it.
I could, but I don't.

You see? You think that watch football and collecting cards (oh god, that was awesome
) is enough to know about football. NO JARMO, is not enough. That kind of things makes me think that you don't really understand what football is. A guy who's telling me that "I know about football BECAUSE I'VE COLLECTED 1986 WC CARDS" shows me that HE REALLY DOESN'T KNOW ABOUT FOOTBALL.
Thanks for the help, you just gave me a proof.

No, it was used as an evidence of somebody being interested and following the game BEFORE you were even born.
I guess in Argentina, a kid spending his/her weekly allowance on football cards means he/she is not interested in the game....
You're obviously more clueless than I thought if you think I honestly think collecting cards makes one an expert.

Ok, South Americans. Since you failed to provide evidence of why I know nothing about football, I want all of you list your football credentials here so that we all can judge them to decide if you are knowledgeable enough to comment on the sport.
Thanks!

I can give you an example about me. I collected basketball card when I was a little (I remember Nick Van Exel card from the Lakers...damn...very hard to find...it was the last card to fill the album) and I admit that I don't know a shit about NBA. But, hey, I'VE COLLECTED CARDS SO I THINK THAT MAKES ME AN SPECIALIST ON THE MATTER. No, kaasupoltin...is not that way.
But yeah, this was really fun but don't you think that we're making a lot of "off topic"?
Jarmo, I repeat, is something I feel when I read what you write about football... and that's it. Do i have to create a disclaimer signature as you did saying that "My posts are my personal opinion. "? I'm not the owner of the truth, I can say that it seems you don't know about football and you're just an ocassional follower because of World Cup and it could be true or not. If you know about football and a poor and underdeveloped (oh, and a naive, clueless and ignorant according to svdv) guy from South America is telling you that you don't...WHO FUCKIN' CARES?
But I would be glad to teach you if you ever come back to Argentina. And i swear this time I'll talk and teach you and not only say "see you at the show"

Because I'm one of those people who think that if you're gonna insult me and my intelligence, you better show me some evidence.
It's called learning. If I did something wrong, and you show me what it was, I'll learn from it.
Now, when you come here and tell me I know nothing about football, I feel slightly insulted. I mean, not personally insulted to the point where I cry myself to sleep.
But it's disrespectful and if you're openly gonna disrespect me, I will call you out on it and that's what I'm doing.
If I was proven to be wrong, I'll admit it. No problem. But since I think you're full of shit, I'll ask for proof. If you can't provide it, an excuse is in order.
Especially when you have no proof other than "I think you only started following football in June 11th, 2010".

That was absolutely disgusting from Uraguay.
Ghana worked like hell, and finally in the last minute scored, only for an idiot to handball it off the line. If I had my way, I would have sent the handballer off and awarded the goal to Ghana, thus making Ghana win.
It was such a horrible act from the Uraguyan, it was impossible to stop the header, so he handballed it blatantly.
Ghana got robbed tonight, I just hope Holland knock the hell out of Uraguay, such a cheating team. I'm just mortified that Ghana scored with the header, only for the cheat to handball it, what a shame for Ghana.
Yep, Holland is a superior team and will probably beat Uruguay. (Even though Uruguay owns two cups and Hollands zero).
Talking about "fair play". Ghana was given that Free Kick at the very end of the match because one of their players FAKED a foul, a foul that never existed since the ghanian player fell down without being even touched. He got away with it and had his free kick that ended up in the infamous handball.
Without fake foul there would have no been Ghana's goal chance or handball.
Ghana violated Fair Play rules too, so who cares. Uruguayan man got his punishment, Ghana wasted it. Cheating is not the correct word,
infraction
is. If you are not sure why Uruguay is semifinalist, ask Fifa.
