Nieuwe drumband opgericht

27 november 2009

It's in dutch.

It says that

Chad smith(rhcp) is in another supergroup(just the media giving that label again)
He's in it with Matt Sorum from VR,  Jose Pasillas from Incubus, Sully Erna from Godsmack and Tommy Lee will do vocals.
First shows will be in 2010.

Don't know how legit it is.. but we'll see.

New drum band formed
November 27, 2009
The Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer, Chad Smith, but it has been super busy this year with groups and recordings of the Peppers. So he played Chicken Foot and Bombastic Meat Bats. Even now he is back in a new band drummer. He is not the only drummer. Even Matt Sorum of Velvet Revolver, Jose Pasillas from Incubus and Godsmack's Sully Erna take place behind the cymbals and cow hides. The vocals are provided by Tommy Lee. In 2010 the first performance scheduled in Los Angeles

Blabbermouth.net ran this on the event...

GODSMACK, VELVET REVOLVER, M?TLEY CR?E Members To Take Part In 'Bezerk' Project - Nov. 9, 2009

Guitar Center announced today that M?TLEY CR?E's Tommy Lee and the STREET DRUM CORPS' Frank Zummo will present "Bezerk" ? an exclusive project commissioned by Guitar Center, featuring some of today's top drummers and artists ? as part of the upcoming Drum-Off Grand Finals, taking place January 8, 2010 at The Wiltern in Los Angeles. Artists performing in "Bezerk" include Chad Smith (RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS), Matt Sorum (GUNS 'N ROSES, VELVET REVOLVER), Jos? Pasillas (INCUBUS), DJ Aero, Sully Erna (GODSMACK), Jay Weinberg, BANG! and others to be announced. Hosted by Stephen Perkins (JANE'S ADDICTION), this historic evening will also include a very special tribute to John Bonham by Jason Bonham, along with an exclusive collaborative performance by Danny Carey (TOOL) and Brann Dailor (MASTODON).

These all-star drummers will all come together on one stage to celebrate the night's main event: performances by the top five undiscovered drummers in the nation, who will compete in front of a capacity crowd and a panel of celebrity judges to see who will win a prize package worth more than $40,000 and the title of "Guitar Center Drum-Off Champion" ? the nation's top undiscovered drummer. Guitar Center will also induct drum icons Billy Cobham and John Bonham into Guitar Center's Drum Legends as part of the evening's festivities.

Tickets for the show are only $10, and are on sale now at LiveNation.com.

That was cool, people forget how good of a drummer Sorum is.  He can play an genre.
