did coldplay sellout their show?

yes, they needed some more time than Guns, but yes they did.

That's how it should be lol Wink I like coldplay and all, don't get me wrong. But Guns didn't sell out Goffertpark (Netherlands) in 2006.. Attendance was 12.000-15.000 or something. Coldplay sold out once and added another not sold out show (= 90.000 - 100.000) in 2009..

I suggest letting your promoter know....

It's not up to Baz alone. I'm sure he'd love to be there.  Smiley

Coldplay tickets are in sell here in Brazil since september, and they're doing 2 concerts, one in Morumbi Stadium in S?o Paulo and one in Rio, in the Apoteose Park (GNR will play there too).
Tickets avaible to both concerts, what a shame....

Coldplay sucks and that video clip where the singer is walking through the beach is the most ridiculous video I've ever seen.

Sorry, I had to say it.

For all my fellow Brazilians.

I'm from Porto Alegre, but - it must be karma - I'm living in Sydney, Australia, right now.
I tried to go back to Brazil just to go to the concerts (and believe me, I really tried) but due to some complications I couldn't manage to do it.
So, imagine the pain in my heart right now, knowing that Guns is going to play in my city, with Sebastian being the opening act, and I'm not going to be there. I only hope Guns comes to Australia this year, otherwise I'll never forgive myself...

But, the reason to this post. I won't pretend to be the biggest GN'R fan in Porto Alegre, but to most of my friends I'm THE die hard Guns fan. Long before I became a member of HTGTH I used to come here to know more about the band, especially during the dark times (1994 - 1999).

So, since I won't be able to BE at the concerts, I tried to come up with some way to be part of the build up for it, at least for my friends. Therefore, I decided to make a 'countdown' to the concert, posting some relevant info on my blog to enlighten those that have no clue about the current status of the band and to try and raise the excitement of those that know and love the band and are already getting themselves ready for the biggest gig Porto Alegre has ever seen.

So, if you guys wanna check it out (and forward the link to any of your friends), my blog address is: ozmose.wordpress.com

* Sorry, fellows HTGTHellers, the blog is in Potuguese
** I'm not writing this post to bump my blog. Really, I know better than that.
*** Mind you, the texts in the blog are aimed to a non-hardcore public, so much of the info there might seem silly or obvious for you guys.

Green light for Coldplay to play at the River Plate stadium: http://www.clarin.com/diario/2010/02/19/um/m-02143113.htm

Let's see what happens with the GNR concert, but everything points to the same direction  beer

I don't remember anyone posting it so.. here goes a plan of Mineirinho (Belo Horizonte - Brasil) from Ticket Master site.

blue (and kinda brown) area = premium and common floor (I didn't find a picture showing the correct division)
red area = seats (I believe those were not sold, but will probably be open for the people on the floor)
gray area = upper level

Well you don't want to be there if you don't have floor tickets. I mean I had seats for 2 shows in Canada but at least I was still kinda close to the stage Smiley

Also, no more catwalks? Or did they think it was some insignificant detail? Wink

Vibrations caused by the crowd jumping were registrated in the buildings up to 1 km from the stadium. BUT the vibrations are not strong enough to cause a significant damage in the structures of near buildings. That's what the last research said, made by an state-owned university. This research was made using the last AC/DC and Metallica shows at River.
