Wonder if we will get another Argentina gig on the 21st? Great city with great people. I wish I was there. Could be three gigs in a row though.

Kinda hard.

They'll play in Chile on 22th. I think is tough to move from Buenos Aires to Santiago and set up the stage and all that stuff in a few hours.

I hope so though

I heard on the radio now ... kissfm.com.br  the show of Guns in Sao Paulo moved from  Palestra Italia to the  Arena Anhembi!  Talk

http://whiplash.net/news.html       and    http://web.gunsnroses.com/index.jsp

  ... some confirmation of this?

Yes the official site says Arenha Anhembi, but GNR is not the admin of the site, MLB, the American league of Baseball is.
The sites that the admin is GNR, that would be MySpace and Facebook, have the right info.
And, it's impossible to play in Anhembi in March 13th, because the Formula Indy will take place there in the 13th and in the 14th.

And it's not only the Sao Paulo concert that has wrong info in the official site. There it's said that the Buenos Aires concert will be in Club Cuidad, but it will actually be in the River Plate Stadium. And there's also said that there's no confirmation about Quito, but actually it's confirmed that will be in the Atahualpa Stadium.

Ticketmaster Brasil still lists the show at the same venue it always has.

Nice!  I love the loyalty Axl has shown Baz over the last few years, and vice versa.  It seems like they made Baz sweat this one out though.  Or maybe they just had to make 100% certain first before he could go forth with the news.  When's the last time Baz played in South America?  He's gonna go nuts playing in front of those raucous crowds!

This is the thing, I made up my mind yesterday, and I just decided that I have to be there for the first gig, in Bras?lia. However, I went to buy my ticket today, only to find out that the premium area is now sold out. Sad

Does anyone have an extra premium ticket for that show you're willing to sell? If so, please, PM me. Undecided

I guess the Sao Paulo venue change is nothing but a mix up.  Huh

People see the listing on gunsnroses.com and assume it's correct.

While the Ticketmaster Brasil site still lists the original venue.

Also, what happened with the news from Costa Rica? Seems awfully quiet.... Nothing confirmed, wishful thinking, or what?

Yes... all the mess is on the gunsnroses.com

Because all the other places (Facebook, Myspace and Sebastian Bach poster) are correct.

And, look at this: the GNR concert will be on March 13th here in Sao Paulo, but in March 13th and 14th, we're gonna have the Formula Indy at the "Anhembi" too.
Look: http://esporte.uol.com.br/velocidade/ultimas-noticias/2010/02/15/asfalto-da-indy-em-sao-paulo-so-ficara-pronto-cinco-dias-antes-da-prova.jhtm (it is in Portuguese.. Sorry)

So, I think it?s impossible to manage two BIG events like these during the same weekend.

I think somebody from GNR camp could put some "order" in this mess!  hihi

and jarmo, I think you should come to Brazil too!!! I predict all these 5 shows is gonna be EPIC!!!  beer

 peace

Anyway, argentine GNR fans are REALLY desperate and scared to death, because we are just one week away from the Coldplay show (same venue) and the River Plate Stadium is currently not authorized to hold rock concerts.

There's a huge debate about this subject. A lot of non-fans are aware of GNR's arrival to Argentina, not because of the media promoting the show, but for the legal fight between Time For Fun Argentina and the lawyers trying to cancel the show at River because of some Nu?ez neighbours complaints (Nu?ez is the neighbourhood where the River Plate Stadium is)

Time 4 Fun Argentina says they have everything they need to let the show happen: they got the permission from the Buenos Aires government since November 2009, and they claim the only valid research done in the last years about rock concerts at RPS (made by the University of Buenos Aires) [the research the lawyers say ''they need to have with negative results before the show''] say ''there is no significant enviromental impact caused by the crowd jumping in the structures of near buildings''.

But these lawyers claim they need to have a new research / investigation before allowing the Coldplay / GNR shows, and they accuse the guy from the government who gave Tickets For Fun the permission to do these 2 shows of ''non-fulfilment of public charge duties''. They also say that the responsible of doing the research is T4F itself, not an state-owned university.

This link say that the vibrations level perceived in near buildings at the last AC/DC concert was between 10 and 18 times more than is allowed.

And last, but definitely not least, Time 4 Fun Argentina said, regarding the Coldplay show, that the gic CAN NOT be done in another place, because there is no other habilitated place by the government with the capacity (60.000) and the configuration of the River Plate Stadium
