Capacity 28,599.  Are Guns not the draw they once were in the 90's in Brazil?  After RIR 3 I assumed they could fill almost any venue in South America.

GN'R has never scheduled five shows in Brazil at once.

Many major acts play one or two shows there. Metallica for example has three in two cities. AC/DC had one!

Now we are just missing the last 5 concerts veneus:
Rio, that's rumored to be in Apoteose Park, with capacity of 40,000.
Porto Alegre, that's rumroed to be in the Gigantinho Arena, with capacity of 20,000.


In Brazil, in all the 5 concerts, it's +/- 160.000 seats.

you have to understand that one complete ''tribuna'' (grades, dont know how it is said) and parts of the lateral grades will be completely empty because the stage must be set IN the game field.

The river plate stadium, for example, holds 60.000 people both for shows and for football matches. One complete grade (the ''Centenario'' grade) is always empty, and parts of the lateral grades too. BUT, all the emptyness is balanced with all the people standing in the game field.

No way. Palestra Italia can hold only 30.000 in soccer matches AND, in case of SHOWS, they don't use the area behind the stage

Just to settle the argument about the Palestra Italia Stadium in S?o paulo, it has 28,599 capacity according tho this site which I found to be pretty accurate:

Obviously that is counting capacity for soccer games (seats) not including the use of the field as a floor for concerts. I think it fits more 30,000 people in the field so total capacity is around 60,000.

You have to subtract the seats behind the stage, so that might leave around 50,000..
