Just saw an article in this Brazilian newspaper (Jornal do Commercio, from Recife) talking about Janes Addiction here in Brazil too.

The link should be this one, but it doesn't seem to work:

What does the article says?
Is it true that Jane's Addiction will do a FULL show, not only the opening act?  rant rant

That is usually what happens when people co-headline!

Jane's was pretty good when I saw them in June -- I'd see them again.

Also, you can always use it to show up late. Or get drunk and getting unable to properly watch the show that matters. Tongue

A clarification on Jane's Addiction: They are not co-headlining with GN'R. They are the opening act (or one of them if more bands are added to the shows at a later date).

In other words, you'll be going to a GN'R show.  Smiley

Love Jane's Addiction. What are the chances they will be the "Opening Act" when GN'R hits the States... specifically back home in L.A.?

I have to say they are a hell of a truly credible opening act. Very surprised actually that GN'R could command such a band in 2009. I mean, you know Baz, though kind of funny, is pretty weak for such a band as GN'R. Jane's well fuck, that is impressive.

How strange. I went to see nin this past summer just to see Robin live, then left before Jane's came on. If Jane's play with GNR in the US, I'll be skipping them and showing up for GNR.  hihi

They are the opening act.

I don't know why somebody would claim otherwise, or maybe it's just a translation thing.

I know you have the last word on this.

But just wanted to clarify that the peruvian promoter NEVER talked about Janes as an opening act. And the media seem to be in that same direction.

Aaaaaaaaaaaanyway, history, albums and ticket sales will always make Janes the opening band for Guns, no matter what the promoter can say.

So you want to clarify that the guy was talking out of his ass?  Wink

Why keep repeating the lie?

The fact is: GN'R is headlining.

That's all that matters.  Smiley

The thing has been set straight so I don't understand why so many of you feel like repeating the misinformation.

important if JA can do a full set for their fans in SA or if they just have shorter playing time as usual for opening bands, thats most likely the issue.

exactly....man, I wish they would bring that Gnr/Janes show to the US. Perry and Axl...two quirky birds. I am sure Axl loves this as he loved Jane's back in the day.
