At what age would you let your kids listen to GN'R?

I pride myself on being a great fuckin' dad.  There is absolutely nothing wrong with allowing your kids to listen to GNR...in a controlled environment of course.  I'm not cranking the volume up and hurting their ears, but as background music it's just fine!  As a good parent, I do mute during f-bombs!  Other than that, why wouldn't I want my children to appreciate great music?  I can't tell ya how many times as a fam. we'd "dance" to GNR.  It looks more like super-fast aerobics as opposed to dancing, but its hilarious and a blast to us!

i have a daughter who is 12, and she has listened to everything i'm into, plus she gets into other music on her own. i don't feel a need to hide any music from her. i took her to her first concert when she was 8. it was social distortion. i raise my kid right!

but all the other songs are ok lyrically for an 8 year old, in your opinion? i remember when appetite for destruction came out. i was 10 years old. and i became a fan right away. honestly though, i don't remember paying THAT much attention to the lyrics at that age. i just dug the music, and i sang along while listening to the songs, but really didn't get what the words all meant. in "it's so easy" when axl goes "turn around, bitch, i've got a use for you," i didn't know what that meant at the age of 10. nor did i take the time to try to figure it out.
i think i turned out fine.

I am with Fizzy on this.  Finn McCool does not sound that cool.  Thinks that people who go to concerts are hooligans.  Is Finn saying that GNR is crap?  by saying "I wasn't introduced to this crap by my parents"  Sounds more like my mother is posting. Scratch that more like my grandmother.  My sons first concert was VR.  Then Foo Fighters and he has listened to GNR for damn near his whole life.  I do skip songs with lots of profanity but if he hears a "bad word" he know it is bad as we discuss the topic if he catches it.  He always tells me to skip certain songs as he knows that they have profanity. NWA now that might be a little Hard Core

I think age doesn't matter.
My little one loves it when she was in my belly at the concert.
She is now 3 and she loves it still, she recognized the music.
We played Paradise City a few minutes ago and she was dancing on it.

She addores the music, it is cute to see it. lmfao.
