Shackler's Revenge. I'm not a big fan of the effect at the start but the chorus and crazy solo are great.

I dunno man, the detroit show was soundboard, plus riad had a monitor mix.... cant ask for much more than that...
No, there's no soundboard from the detroit show - or ANY of Riad live performances. Also, the monitor mix from Tokyo and Osaka gigs were pretty much raw vocals from Axl with the instrumental blurred in the mix - you can barely hear some of the guitars and drums. This song in particular needs everybody in the band (besides Dizzy, maybe) shining. Bootlegs didn't seem to do any justice for the song with people who couldn't really listen to some of what was going on. "I was never a fan of Axl's vocals on the live versions I heard. Just didn't sound right to me. Sounds great on the album version though."
I pulled out the VEGAS Show and now being familualr w/ Rhiad, I feel Axl nailed it live!!
Exactly. The Pukkelpop version was also good.

Get high to If The World. Wait. Get high and then listen to If The World. Its one of the trippiest songs out there. Something about Axl's voice combined with the funkedelic beat and grooves combined with Bucket. Oh yea, its one of my favorites and most played on CD (for reasons well, you can imagine). Believe it.
edit: I want to add that for me, Scraped is my most improved though I think overall its the weakest compared to everything else. Saying that, I really dig the shit out of the main riff. Reeer Reeeeeer. Most improved.

the twat intro
I was at a cross road driving a dark mountain road the other day wondering how i managed to lose my accustomed way. While waiting for the traffic light to turn green, i was jumped with a sudden ground rumbling...Then i realized that was from the car stereo and the first drum beat in the intro of twat which impact i finally felt properly then after listening to the song a hundred times.

I loved the vocal-outro he used to do live in 02, where he changed his voice to that creepy, raspy Axl-voice.

How do you know that 'Scraped' is the most improved song? I don't recall it being played live prior to the album release. What are you comparing it to?

If you could pick one song (only one!) that has grown on the most since the release of the album, what would it be?

I love Better, i have to admit that i listen to it time and time again, but also, Riad and Catcher in the Rye are the songs that i liked the most, with Better being the best

I agree. I listened to the RIR 3 version just recently, and the song sounded naked, and dare I say...bad.

IMO CD at Rio 3 was great as well. altho from a boot basically that's what got me really into GNR. and seeing and hearing Madagascar and the blues played live at shows improved my opinion of the songs. guess boots/youtube clips rarely do justice to live performances.
