i know people that have been on these things and everytime they have said it was not worth the money. What are you actually getting apart from a normal seating or standing ticket? Backstage tour? Not definate to meet any band members, especially before the gig. Pre Show party? Again, suprised if any band members are hanging around. Gift bag? Maybe a t shirt, key ring etc. Laminate? Woo hoo.....
So if that is all it is then I honestly don't think it is worth the money. Of course, I could be wrong and the GNR experience may be different but I am guessing this is something the arena or promoters have organised and not the band...
Just my 2 cents of course

I'd do it for the backstage tour. As long as people don't go in expecting to meet Axl, no one should be disappointed.

Generally, these things aren't worthwhile. It's usually a tour of an empty backstage and a party with Coke's and a veggie tray. You are usually paying money (~$200, in this case) for a tshirt, lanyard and coffee mug. With that said, I'm sure Bumblefoot and Frank may stop by some of these parties, depending on where they are at that time.
The ones the fans do seem to enjoy are the MEET AND GREETS, not these fan packages.

Exactly what I thought. If people want to do this then all good for them. All I am saying is do your research and don't expect that much

You forgot the fact that it says you get priority access ("general admission standing floor ticket, with priority access")...
In other words, doesn't that mean you get to enter before the rest of the ticket holders?
For somebody who'd love to be up front, but doesn't want to stand in line all day in Canada in the middle of winter, that might be worth
something

The stage looks like it will be slightly different with three 'tentacles' coming off the main area. Maybe, the priority would be to be inbetween these runways.
Did Axl talk about not ripping off fans with these packages in his online chat last year? I vaguely remember something along those lines.
These packages are common practice among most big acts these days and usually have very little to do with actual band input. Let's hope this isn't the case.

That's identical to the normal end stage seating chart at Copps.
See
http://www.ticketmaster.com/seatingchart/131078/30385
and choose End Stage, then choose GN'R. They're identical.
I mainly point this out because GNR's stage may not have those arms - so don't pick your section based on that
