Possible stage set-up for Hamilton show.

Looks like it'll gonna have 3 "walk-outs", "extensions" or whatever it's called:

Sounds really promising, because this configuration seems to belong from a GN'R stage, not from the normal Arena Stage.

No, I wouldn't count on it.  If you go to the ticketmaster event page (http://www.ticketmaster.ca/event/10004353A5205BB0?artistid=735218&majorcatid=10001&minorcatid=1) for this show, you'll notice that the Guns N' Roses stage setup is exactly the same as East End Stage.

I'm betting on the same stage setup last 2006.

Cheers,

Andrew

So far the SK dates seem to being doing well.  The Regina show the sides of the lower bowl are almost sold out.  Some still on the floor which I expected since those who were GnR fans in their 20's are now 40 and 50.
Saskatoon being a bigger venue has some left on the side but looks like the seats on the side sold pretty fast.

Guns and Roses Ticket Sales Going "Very Well"

Band promoting 'Chinese Democracy': Its first album in over 15 years

Posted October 23, 2009 - 2:36pm

Ticket sales for the upcoming Guns N' Roses concert are going "very well", says a representative of Evraz Place Ticketmaster.

The January 20th show at the Brandt Centre still has good seats available, but Ticketmaster is "very pleased" with the sales thus far.

While there wasn't any G n R pandemonium at the box office this morning, a few fans decided to show up and buy their tickets the old fashioned way.

"We're very excited... seeing the band come to Regina," said a couple of Guns and Roses fans - with their tickets in hand.

The show is one of thirteen Canadian stops on the band's "Chinese Democracy World Tour",

I told an old coworker of mine who lives in Ohio about these dates, he was able to secure a pair of floor tickets for the Hamilton show.  And this happened many hours after the tickets went on sale.

Not surprising.  Most 20 and 30 year olds from the 80's and early 90's want seats either for themselves or because they are talking their spouse or even their kids often want seats.

Toronto floors are sold out (unless they're holding some back).

Hamilton - floors look like they're almost gone. If I search for 2 tickets I can't get floors. I stuck in 1 ticket out of curiosity and I did get a floor. Lucky I got mine when I did but I think some friends of mine may be out of luck floor wise (not like they're going to sit/stand separately).

Who holds the tickets to the seats in the first two lower bowl sections closest to the stage? Is it the band, the promotors, the venue?   Presale in Winnipeg got me 5 sections away, regular sale today closest I can get is 3 sections away...presale on Minneapolis in 2006 got me 3rd row stage left...now that I've been there, I don't want to go back...where can a person get these tickets?Huh?

It is common for front seats to be reserved for VIPs.

Very recently I went to see a band at a smaller venue, and they had all the seats upstairs available only to VIP's. Downstairs was standing, with a few bad seats. The upstairs area also had a free bar   smoking

Though I have to say, Montreal is probably the most fun city in Canada,

And a nice bus station!  Wink

I remember flying home from Montreal after the Quebec City show in 2006.... Getting lost in Quebec going back to the hostel after the show, sleeping for two-three hours, then off to take the bus to the Montreal airport.

 Cheesy

Jarmo, could you PLEASE give us your opinion on how "official" these dates are?? The fact that we've heard nothing from the band, and the un-updated status of the website has me concerned.I mean, wouldn't the band have responded by now if these dates weren't happening?
