I guess because I added them to the tour dates?  Huh

I thought it was fair to all the Asian fans to point out that in the middle of all these exciting news from Canada, we don't forget the Asian dates that are before the Canadian ones.

/jarmo

Thanks for the consideration. Much appreciated.  Smiley
I guess I mistook voodoochild's post as they saw the band's confirmation or something.
Actually I was talking about Braveworld's post:

GUNS N? ROSES will bring their Chinese Democracy World Tour to Canada in January 2010. The Winnipeg, Manitoba concert at the MTS Centre on January 13th is the first of thirteen Canadian concerts on the GN?R world tour, which begins in Asia on December 11th, with tour updates and announcements planned throughout 2010.

I'm kinda confused right now... Isn't that the official press release? Or is it just a Braveworld article?

There is Montreal, but no Vancouver (for now) .. would be cool to play in Vancouver also, but I guess it is nearly impossible due to all the different legal shit going on ..

Couldn't it also have to do with the Olympics taking place in February?  Perhaps venues aren't renting (especially to a band with a history of mayhem) to music acts as they prepare for Olympics.

Cheers,

I'm pretty sure it's a press release as I found it at another site:

http://www.iconvsicon.com/2009/10/19/guns-n-roses-announce-new-dates-for-chinese-democracy-world-tour/

Not to say that one site didn't just copy and paste from one another, but I've got to think that this was written by someone other than a staff reporter.

Cheers,

Andrew

Jarmo, does the board have anything to do with the online pre-sales listed on Ticketmaster?

I'm assuming those are radio station, Live Nation/Ticketmaster etc. pre-sales.

/jarmo

Cool, thanks for clarification beer

On a side note, I'll see you folks at the Toronto and Hamilton shows for sure. I'm gunna' try like mad to get to the Ottawa, London, and Quebec gigs too though Cheesy

G N' R to bring Chinese Democracy to JLC

The man and the band infamous for no-shows, melt-downs and some of the hardest, fastest rock ever to hit the sound waves of society is bringing their latest world tour to the John Labatt Centre in 2010.

Axl Rose and Guns N' Roses will be making a Chinese Democracy stop at London's JLC Jan. 25, one of 13 Canadian concerts in their Chinese Democracy World Tour.

Along with Frank Ferrer, Tommy Stinson, Richard Fortus, Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal, Dizzy Reed, and Chris Pitman, Axl and the Gunners welcomed guitarist Dj Ashba into the band earlier this year and are scheduled to begin rehearsals for the upcoming world tour in Los Angeles.

The upcoming worldwide tour promotes the band's latest album, Chinese Democracy, which debuted at #1 on the charts in thirteen countries including Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Finland, Hong Kong, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Poland, Singapore, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, as well as the European Top 100 Albums survey.

Tickets for the JLC stop go on sale Friday (Oct. 23) at 10 a.m., and are available at John Labatt Centre Box Office, Fanshawe College BizBooth, The Bookstore at Western and Books Plus. Charge by phone at 1-866-455-2849 or order online (see link).

Tickets prices (incl. GST) are $59.50 & $85.50; Reserved Seating, $85.50 General Admission Floors (plus FMF and service charges).[/

OK, I have a dilemma...with cash being an issue and everything. Do i scrape up enough cash, get a passport, ect and be guaranteed to go to at least one show....Or, do I hope and pray for a date in Vegas, or other surrounding cities (LA, San Diego, Phoenix) and possible go to multiple shows?? i don't know what to do!!!! haha.

Thats just about where I am dude... I'd hate to put all my chips into a canada show if they end up coming to Cleveland (about the same drive to Toronto for me)... That "Press Release" says they will continue to announce shows....

Yeah, I think that's the route I gotta go. I live in Vegas, so like I said Phoenix, LA and San Diego are all really accessible to me. I also have a cousin that just moved to New York, and I got a bunch of family in Minneapolis....I'm sure Gn'R will hit up at least one of those 6 cities, haha. I hope.

Jarmo,

Are you planning another big tour like the last time?  Has GNR just spoken for your vacation time?

I would be surprised (not shocked, but surprised) if there were no US dates to follow, at some point after the Canadian leg of the tour (and possibly a South American leg, after that).  It would just make too much sense.

But we'll see, I guess.  I'm waiting on US shows.  I contemplated making a road trip (I have a passport) up to Canada to catch a show, but.....I'm willing to take the risk they end up in the states, eventually.
