Sonisphere 2010 dates revealed

United Kingdom United Kingdom | 07 October 2009

Organisers have now confirmed that Sonisphere will return to Knebworth as a two day festival on Saturday the 31st July and Sunday 1st August 2010

It is also understood that the event will expand to include several new European dates and that some of the existing ones will become multi-day festivals. Although nothing has been confirmed at this stage, we understand that discussions are underway with several "enormous" headliners. VF's tips are Iron Maiden and Guns N' Roses.

Stay posted to Virtual Festivals as we bring you the Sonisphere 2010 news and rumours first over the coming months.

Europe in the summer could very well be the case, especially all big festivals.

European festival dates would make sense as part of a World Tour.  Lets hope that if this is true then this is not the only date GRN will do in the UK.

I highly doubt a NA tour will happen early next year.  I think it is far more likely for next fall/early winter.

The Welwyn Hatfield Times understands that a major announcement about the two-day rock and metal event will be made early next week, with the headliners due to be revealed on Wednesday.

That sounds even better ok

it is also noted. that Iron maiden will make their anouncement of the festival next week (so I think the article is referring to those guys.

But I'm stil hoping for gnr playing there..

But whatever happens... I think a lot of us have our smiles back for the greatest band ever.

How big are the chances... that sonisphere Holland/germany/Belgium will be?

I've got a gut feeling about it.
