This is not a condemnation of anything but the ad agency, but why would they put the words "From Guns-n-Roses" on that?

He's not on Chinese Democracy, he's never played a live show with GNR, he's not on any other Guns album ... I mean I'm excited to hear what he does with GNR, but how many people are going to look at this and say, "wha?!"

Anyone who says "wha?!" obviously has ZERO clue about what's been going on with GNR since like 1995-ish. 

I think even 'casual fans' who've heard anything about Guns N' Roses' Chinese Democracy have also been exposed to the fact that the band lineup has changed since 1987.

just show those "wha?!" people that pic that angeles posted and they'll go ... "oh yeah, I remember him now. so that's what he looks like without all that hair hiding his face" 


P.S.  No where in that ad does it infer that Dj performed on CD.
It only states the FACT that he IS a member of Guns N' Roses.

DJ's quite the guy.  His style is different, given - but he's great to talk and hear jam.

The thing is that the only thing he's done with GNR so far is be announced as the new guitarist. 

I'm not knocking the guy, I just think even people who have paid attention are going to think "why didn't they use Bumblefoot?"

well, this is off topic, but i saw cruefest's dvd and Ashba's performance was nothing less than amazing. he's a great entertainer. he jumps all around the stage, there was a part where he was even playing guitar with a drum stick and he never missed a note... he seems to be quite fun to watch live.

Like Fernando said, he is different from Robin, or any other previous member, but he does have that unique quality that makes him worthwhile watching and hearing. i am very pleased he is in the band. That's what i call turning a good thing outta of a bad situation. Robin is out and that was his call. The show must go on and DJ seems like a great addition.
