Guns N' Roses Heading To Asia

Although it hasn't been announced on their official website, it appears Guns N' Roses will mount a mini-tour of Asia later this year.

The gigs will be their first shows in support of last year's Chinese Democracy. Universal Music Japan confirmed two of the dates, while advertisements for two additional stops have reportedly appeared in the confirmed cities.

The jaunt is slated to begin in Taiwan on Dec. 11 with stops in South Korea and Japan. The four-date trek will conclude with two stadium dates in Japan, including a Dec. 19 date at the Tokyo Dome. The Japanese shows go on sale Oct. 3.

The shows will be the band's first gigs since they last performed in Osaka, Japan in 2007.

There's no word whether Guns N' Roses will tour next year behind the record, but it seems doubtful given their erratic track record. Rose hinted that a summer world stadium tour was in the works earlier this year, but that didn't happen.

Here are Guns N' Roses' tour dates:

Dec. 11 Taipei, Taiwan @ Taipei County Stadium
Dec. 13 Seoul, South Korea @ Olympic Park Gymnastics Stadium
Dec. 16 Osaka, Japan @ Osaka Dome
Dec. 19 Tokyo, Japan @ Tokyo Dome

I didn't even think about the fact that Saturday Oct 3 is coming real fast.

I hope theres a confirm or denial from GNR before people start spending their money this weekend.

Not confirmed doesn't mean it's not happening.  I'm hoping the "announcement" will include other dates and maybe that's the delay at this point.  Details are still being worked out. Smiley

Not sure why my first post was erased...but I agree with this 100%. Likely everything is being organized and hammering out the last details before an announcement. As tickets go on sale this Saturday, I hope an announcement is in the works for the next couple days!

Rumoured Guns N' Roses Asia Tour Expands

With it being almost 12 months since the band released their first album in years, Guns N' Roses are starting to add tour dates. Although it may be a rumor, yet another date has been added to their proclaimed Asia tour. According to AllAccess.co.kr, there is now a December 13 show at the Olympic Park Gymnastics Stadium in Seoul, Korea.
The band's official website doesn't have any news about the rumoured tour, but other tour dates keep appearing elsewhere. Aside from the concert in Korea, there are also dates in Taiwan (December 11) and in the Japanese cities Osaka and Tokyo (December 16 and 19). Aside from Asia, there have been a few rumors about shows in India, but there doesn't seem to be much proof. Find out more information about the tour at RollingStone.com.

Are Guns N' Roses touring Southeast Asia?
Korea show just 'announced'

Guns N' Roses are apparently booked to play a concert at the Olympic Park Gymnastics Stadium in Seoul, Korea on 13 December.

Or maybe not. It's hard to tell.

Neither the Guns N' Roses website nor MySpace page list any tour information, but a website called AllAccess.co.kris is announcing the date, and they're even featuring this concert poster:

MusicRadar contacted Guns N' Roses management and publicity to confirm the show, as well as other bookings that have been announced by third parties - two dates in Japan (Osaka and Tokyo) and a concert on 11 December in Taipei, Taiwan. Nobody was able to attest to the validity of the dates.

If these shows are bogus, they wouldn't be the first false Guns N' Roses concert alarms in the wake of Chinese Democracy: In late December 2008, guitarist Richard Fortus said the band would be hitting the road in late March for a two-year run.

Days later, Fortus claimed that he was 'misquoted,' and, of course, there was no tour.

Then a guitarist who calls himself DJ Ashba joined Guns N' Roses for 'an upcoming tour.' And we all know what happened there - no tour.

While we're not recommending anybody book flights or update their passports, the Guns N' Roses gigs being bandied about are as follows:

11 Dec. - Taipei, Taiwan @ Taipei County Stadium
13 Dec. - Seoul, Korea @ Olympic Park Gymnastics Stadium
16 Dec. - Osaka, Japan @ Osaka Dome
19 Dec. - Tokyo, Japan @ Tokyo Dome

Guns N' Roses Finally Tour
EventsLive MusicGigly

It seemed like Chinese Democracy was the album that would never drop, and finally it did. Then it seemed the current incarnation of Guns n' Roses was never going to tour, but lo, suddenly, there are dates.

It seems the long-rumored Southeast Asia tour is pretty much confirmed, so reports Rolling Stone. A ticket sale site puts them at Seoul, Korea's Olympic Park Gymnastics Stadium.

Other reported dates include hitting up Japan for a pair of dates in Osaka and Tokyo, along with a December 11th date in Taiwan.

Of course, take all this with a grain of salt.

Let's not forget how many times Chinese Democracy was delayed, the fact that the rumored two-year tour was supposed to launch in March this year, and the video for "Better" still hasn't seen the light of day.

Guns N' Roses to perform in Korea

Rock band Guns N' Roses will give a performance in Korea for the first time in their 24-year career, according to a concert organizer.

"The band will hold a concert at the Olympic Park on December 13," Access Entertainment announced on Friday.

The group, on their Asia tour, is set to also perform in Japan and Taiwan to promote their new album in 17 years "Chinese Democracy", explained Access.

Guns N' Roses had halted their activities after last releasing remake album "The Spaghetti Incident" in 1993 but returned fresh to the music scene late last year with Axl Rose as the only remaining original member.

Tickets for the band's concert will be available starting October 6.
